This is called aestheticization of politics.

The aestheticization of politics is a concept introduced by Walter Benjamin in his 1935 essay, The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction.

He argued that fascism responds to the economic demands & problems of the masses by turning politics into a theatrical spectacle.

This gives people a false sense of expression while keeping property and power structures untouched.

The Core Mechanics of Aestheticized Politics Theatrical Spectacle are as under :
(a) Politics becomes a matter of grandiose parades, rallies, and media rituals rather than actual democratic power.Preserving Property: Regimes allow the working class to feel heard and unified, but protect existing class and economic property relations.

(b) Self-Alienation: People are reduced to viewing their own destruction and subjugation as high aesthetic pleasure.

Full sympathies with families and children of cops as no one should be made to see the suffering of their loved ones. But this isn’t an argument about whether the protesters did this or not. The idea of parading the families of injured Delhi Police officers is a dishonourable attempt to create an emotional counter-narrative and is more aimed at deflecting systemic accountability for use of force by the state and hence shifts the focus from institutional actions to individual suffering.
Comparing state-backed police force's injuries with injured students ends up creating a false moral equivalence, because the police hold state authority and crowd-control tools. Remember, violence is always a state monopoly in legal terms. Their attempts distract everyone from the core issue - of police misconduct and disproportionate use of force. In this battle of my emotion versus your emotion, the larger picture should never be lost in any civilised society.🙏

There is so much misinformation being spread about what’s actually happening in Spain:

1) Migrants are not swimming or taking boats to Spain’s mainland. Ceuta is a Spanish enclave on Morocco’s northern coast.

2) This is a coordinated effort by Morocco’s government, seen in the video below transporting migrants in trucks to Ceuta.

Morocco’s government aligns with Israel and the US, so these efforts most likely aim to punish Spain for supporting Palestine and opposing the US and Israel’s war against Iran.

💢 President Donald Trump clarifies that Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s campaign to “bring the International Criminal Court to heel” is intended to protect Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and others facing ICC scrutiny.

Speaking at Camp David, Rubio said: “The International Criminal Court has made themselves illegitimate because they claim that even if you’re not a member of that court, we can come after you… They’re very arrogant. So we’ve now begun an effort to really try to bring them to heel.”
