Today, we celebrated St John’s Day at St John Eye Hospital in the presence of Her Grace the Archbishop of Canterbury and His Excellency the Archbishop of Jerusalem, together with a delegation from the Cathedral. The service was followed by a breakfast gathering.

On Saturday 19th July, the Knights Templar marked the 50th anniversary of the separation of the Provinces of Durham and Northumberland. The Provincial Priory of Durham have, to date, raised an outstanding £112,000 for SJEHG.

After a long period of interruption, we are proud to announce our teams performed the first major eye surgery in Gaza on April 30, 2025 at Al-Quds Hospital, in partnership with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society!

Since the start of the war in Gaza some 18 months ago, we have resumed work at the outpatient department of the St John Eye Hospital in the Gaza City.
More than 59 patients have been treated on the first day. We hope this is the start of a peaceful era.
Renovation of outpatient clinics at our Gaza Hospital has been completed.
We should commence services at the Hospital next week.
Thanks to all our dedicated teams who have been working in Gaza for more than one year under extraordinary conditions.
