Lately I've been thinking about an old vtuber concept I had that almost happened but never came to fruition.

Cipher Recall.

They were a CRT headed, Power Glove armed cyborg that lives in a liminal space abandoned video rental store. They was some rogue (Sci-Fi) AI Program that cobbled themselves a body out of old E waste.

Their streams were "broadcast" into what they thought were the void in an attempt to make contact with any form of sentient life. Eventually they discovered the internet and were able to piece together the history of the older tech there were Frankenstein together from.

He became obsessed with the 80's 90's and 00s and began archiving his fascination in the forms of livestreams.

He was glitchy and had a bit of a fractured personality in a sort of Max Headroom kinda way

I would display different video clips on my screen like Weeebo from Flubber, With a bit of glitchyness form exisitng in a liminal space, his screen would eventually ooze a TV snow sludge or he would spit up wads of VCR tape.

I had actually planned to edit videos get an analog to digital converter and record my videos onto VHS and then play the VHS tapes on my CRT and then record that with my camera (the entire TV chassis and a video) to add a layer of analogue grit to some of my videos

Ciphers’s entire debut was gonna be filmed and edited and then placed onto a VHS and then have the screen of my CRT recorded as the VHS played, snow and all

But getting L2d Art/Riggig who do not only male-adjacent VTuber models, but robot adjacent, was really hard to come by and I just became a logistical nightmare to try and plan out

Maybe it’s because I’m in a bad headspace today,

but I have to wonder, did people prefer the cottagecore witch over the Crow? It feels like my interactions have gone down since the redesign.
