Thanks to Awaaz FM we have the keys to our new home in the Cobbet Road Hub and Library. It will take a little time before we are fully up and running as we have some electrical work that needs doing, re-fit the kitchen, get everything out of storage and decorating.

Today I accompanied my partner a veteran to one of his favourite thing to do visit to the @VeteransSoton. What a wonderful space. These folks are doing an amazing job in supporting Armed Forces Veterans in and around the Hampshire area. This incredible space is a lifeline to the many men and women that access the centre. A much needed hub in the heart of community. I now see why @mercer_felicity always talks of the importance of supporting veterans. I am hoping @JohnnyMercerUK will pay the Centre a visit. These veterans are my Heroes for the service they given to us all . We need these centres like these in the city of Southampton @TheSotonMayor @SouthamptonCC

I am shocked to learn from so many British Armed Forces Veterans including my own partner that there isn’t much support available post service to an officer once the leave the Army. Many are having to rely on family & friends and some well meaning charities like @VeteransSoton for support in dealing with PTSD with other life changing issues they suffered from serving.
