You need to edit the video before you edit the video.

Weird, right?

Here’s what I mean 👇

Before starting the animation phase:

– I watch the whole video to understand the message.

– I look at 1–3 YouTube videos on the same topic or with styles I like.

– I check my inspiration bank.

– I open a FigJam board and plan the entire video.

Why?

Because that way, the animation follows a consistent style from start to finish.

Sometimes I even reuse an animation when the same point is mentioned again.

Planning the edit saves a ton of time because once you start editing, all that’s left is execution.
