Researcher @cirad, manager of the FSPM research theme (plant modelling and phenotyping) @UmrAmap. Passionate about agronomy and crop/plants simulation.
I'm making an experimental app for writing research articles: markdown manuscript, in-app citations, review (tracked changes, comments), collaboration, exports, Git and R/Julia/Python reproducible figures, tables, and in-text values. All in one workspace.
@thsottiaux I’m building Avel: a life assistant based on Sol to pre-digest email, tasks, calendar and notes, drafting replies and proposing calendar holds while learning how I work. Less admin, more time for what matters :)
@Dimillian Since Sol, not at all. I even find myself just prompting my constrains (e.g. cross platform), and asking it to write a design document first. But when I review it, I have nothing to say, it just makes the good choices by itself. Sometimes it makes too much security hardening
@thsottiaux To be clear, 5.5 was already great, but I had to go back and forth with it. My first use of Sol is just telling it to do something quite vaguely, and every decision it takes is good. This is a model that can work by itself.
@thsottiaux Love it for its autonomy ! I’m building an app for writing scientific papers, my first prompt was for creating a design file, literally just a few sentences in the prompt, and Sol nailed everything. Then just running the goal, and until now I have nothing bad to say.
@NicolasQuiPaie Un peu putaclic votre tweet. C’est juste parce qu’il y a eu fusion de communes et la position de l’autre maire en tant qu’adjoint est contestée.
@Dimillian Ha also I just thought about another thing: being able to update the side chat context from the current state of the main thread; and also give the side chat context to the main. Many times I’m planning things on the side while the main thread is working.
@Dimillian 1. Reopen on codex after I leave the app would be great. I’m tired of clicking and waiting. Or maybe a dedicated app would be nice.
2. Access side conversations that I have on my computer from the phone and vice versa. Side conversations are a blessing btw.
3. Git
@Dimillian I’m sure it will be studied and viewed as a mind plague by our descendants. I don’t know why people think like that in France. It’s always about not using too much, staying at your place and not asking for more.
Codex keeps refreshing its UI randomly, which closes my side chats, very frustrating because there is no history on those (or am I missing something?). Please @Dimillian and @thsottiaux can we get a way to get the history for side chats?
@showonder@michael_waples@thsottiaux Ok for this specific use case I understand, but common how many people plan like that ? Why wait for Tuesday to start ? With /goal you can start and pause anytime.
@showonder@michael_waples@thsottiaux They’re not destructive. If you spend 1/7 of your usage a day, indeed you don’t benefit from it but you don’t loose anything either. If you burned more, you win more usage. Most people have burned most of their usage before the end of the week so they win here.
@swordjurdjura@TwitchGauchiste Dans ce cas soit pas leur client c’est tout. En volant t’imposes une taxe sur les autres clients, pas sur la multinationale.
