Nick Frasso got back in the saddle on Sunday, throwing a scoreless inning, and flashed a NASTY changeup on his last pitch for a K. Frasso touched 96.8 & threw 13 strikes in 18 pitches, which was great to see, especially considering he had a 3-pitch variety working.

Nick Frasso turned in his best outing of the season Tuesday night for the Oklahoma City Comets, providing two scoreless innings, thanks to a great relay from Zac Ehrhard to Noah Miller to Eliezer Alfonzo to gun down a runner at the plate. Frasso came in relief.
His Line:
2.0 IP | 1 hit | 0 runs | 2 walks | 4 Ks on 34 pitches, 20 for strikes. Despite allowing 2 walks, Frasso consistently missed bats & found a way to escaped both innings scoreless.
Frasso’s fastball topped out at 97.4 mph and averaged 96.2 mph, and his four-seam generated a 50% whiff rate. Albuquerque produced just two balls in play against him, both classified as hard-hit, but only one fell for a hit.
Frasso also featured a changeup & slider and recorded 8 whiffs on total 34 pitches, which is good for a reliever.
Lots to like about this performance starting with the velocity and his ability to miss bats and barrels. #dodgers #dodgersprospects
Nick Frasso threw a scoreless inning for OKC, allowed just 1 hit, struck out 1, and needed just 9 pitches to get the job done.
1 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 K on 9 pitches.
His fastball averaged 96.0 MPH, which is good, and the control/command piece was good as well. He threw ALL 4 of his fastballs for a strike, and while that's a crazy small sample size, it's worth telling the story.
Frasso also threw a couple of sliders and a couple of changeups, at least that's how it was tagged, so take that information at your own risk. slider at 88.3 MPH and an 84 MPH changeup that generated a whiff on 50% of swings.
Frasso lowered his ERA to 3.52, which, again, the sample size it TOO small to take anything from, TBH, just 7.2IP, but he does have 14 Ks in that span, which IS significant. #dodgers #dodgersprospects
Dodgers RHP prospect Nick Frasso is back on a minor league deal, per sources close to @JustBB_Media
Los Angeles keeps one of their most coveted pitching prospects.
Nick Frasso threw another scoreless inning for AAA OKC this afternoon, which is his 5th scoreless outing in a row and 8th in his last 9. Dude has settled into the relief role and is rockin' and rollin'.
Sinker was 94-95, 60% whiff rate, cutter sat just under 90. #dodgers
Nick Frasso is starting to absolutely kill it in his new reliever role and threw another scoreless inning for AAA OKC.
With his motion and ability to ramp up the velo and tough angles, coming in short bursts will make him infinitely harder to hit. Keep in mind, in the Minor Leagues, you have 6-game series, so a reliever might see that team 3, outside shot 4 times in the same week. So, as they see you that much, it makes it harder.
That doesn't happen in the MLB. With the 3-game series, it would be likely that a guy like Frasso would only see a team one time, and for that team to adjust to his unique style and top-shelf stuff would be very difficult.
All that to say, this might be THE most excited I've been about Frasso since the Dodgers traded for him. He looks really good right now. #dodgers

Nick Frasso touched 97.3 with his FB & featured 4 pitches that had spin that touched higher than 2300 RPMs. That's really good stuff, and it led him to a good start going 5 innings, giving up just 2, 5 Ks, 4 BBs, 3 hits. #dodgers
Another great outing for Nick Frasso who went 5, have up just 1 run on 4 hits and had 5 Ks, 2 walks. Frasso had 25 Ks in July to just 4 walks and has 16 Ks so far this month to just 5 walks. #dodgers
