🚨 NYS National Guard Insight 🚨

While at my daughter’s softball clinic today, I had an eye-opening conversation with a fellow parent who works for NYS and is heavily involved in the NYS Correctional Officer strike.

This person shared some shocking details about the National Guard that the media isn’t fully covering:

- The National Guard is under a gag order—they’re not allowed to speak on what’s happening.

- Despite being “deployed,” they’re receiving non-deployment pay, which is a significantly lower compensation.

- Their time served for this particular situation won’t count toward their pension.

- They’re sleeping on cots in a gym, in conditions worse than some overseas deployments.

One key reason? This situation falls outside the National Guard’s intended role. It could be fixed if @GovKathyHochul declared an official State of Emergency—but she refuses to do so.

I will add that I was very happy to hear how hard many Republican officials are working to help our officers.
