More than 9 million Americans served from Nov. 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975. 6 million are still living. Mar 29th is the date of the withdrawal of military units from South Vietnam in 1973. The members of Post 96 honor their service.
Our next Post General Meeting is on Monday, Feb. 28th at 11:00 at the Golden Corral, located at 1480 Eastern Blvd. Meet with other combat veterans in a non-smoking, non-alcohol environment and eat lunch with us. Veterans helping Veterans!
Good news! Our next regular monthly Post meeting will be held at the Golden Corral on Jan. 31st, 2022 at 11:00. It will be great to be back at our meeting room again with a buffet and more space. Hope you can make to the meeting!
Today at the Tuskegee VAMC, a drive-thru parade of Veteran's organizations was held for the patients & staff of the Community Living Center. Commander Carr & Adjutant Hilton participated and our Post 96 donated snacks & water to the VAMC.
VFW Post 96 General Meeting will be held on Jan. 25th at 11:00 am at SINCLAIR'S EAST Restaurant at 7847 Vaughn Rd. A set meal will be provided. Please respond if attending and bring a mask for the times when not eating. See you there!

Post member Bill Chivalette spoke about the recently released movie #TheLastFullMeasure, A1C William Pitsenbarger, USAF PJ, and the long road to his award of the Medal of Honor. Bill dedicated many years of work as an Air Force consultant with the movie.
Earlier this month, our Post sponsored and conducted its 62nd annual Montgomery County Spelling Bee at partner Frazer United Methodist Church. Thanks to County Coordinator Brian Petters, Charles Stults (Judge), Robert Carr (Moderator) and Registrars Judy Stults and Mark Hilton.
