SEXUAL HEALTH IS HEALTH
Sexual health isn’t just about what happens in the bedroom.
It’s about confidence, connection, intimacy, vitality, and quality of life.
As we age, changes in hormones, circulation, pelvic-floor function, tissue health, medications, stress, and overall health can affect sexual function in both men and women.
But aging does not mean we simply have to accept those changes.
In this new Dr. 29 series, we’ll explore a comprehensive approach to sexual wellness—from hormone optimization and pelvic-floor health to regenerative therapies, energy-based treatments, PRP, stem cells, young plasma, and other individualized options.
Because sexual health is part of whole-body health.
You deserve to look, feel, connect, and perform at your best—at every age.

SERIES 5 — AESTHETICS
Looking Better Is Part of Living Better.
Aesthetics isn’t about changing who you are.
It’s about helping the outside reflect the energy, vitality, and confidence you feel on the inside.
Modern aesthetic medicine has moved far beyond simply treating wrinkles. Today, we can address skin quality, facial structure, muscle tone, collagen, pigmentation, texture, body composition, and overall appearance using advanced technologies—often without surgery.
My approach is simple:
Don’t chase a different face.
Don’t chase an age.
Optimize what you already have.
Because longevity isn’t only about adding years to your life.
It’s about looking good, feeling good, and performing well during those years.
That’s why I consider aesthetics one part of a much larger longevity strategy:
LONGEVITY • CONFIDENCE • PERFORMANCE

HORMONES: YOUR BODY’S EMPLOYEES
They help run the company.
Think of your body as a company.
Your organs are the departments.
Your hormones are the employees—constantly communicating and coordinating:
ENERGY • METABOLISM • MUSCLE • BONE
MOOD • SLEEP • BRAIN • SEXUAL HEALTH
As we age, the workforce can change. But hormone optimization isn’t simply about adding more.
It’s about having:
THE RIGHT HORMONES.
AT THE RIGHT LEVELS.
DOING THE RIGHT JOB.

YOUNG PLASMA: YOUR BODY’S OIL CHANGE
We change the oil in our cars because, over time, the environment inside the engine changes.
Your body changes with age, too.
Plasma is the liquid portion of your blood. It carries proteins, hormones, nutrients, signaling molecules, and other factors throughout the body.
That’s why I like to describe young plasma as “your body’s oil change.”
The idea isn’t that we’re replacing your blood or magically reversing aging. We’re looking at whether changing the circulating plasma environment may influence how cells communicate, respond, and function.
Think of it this way:
Stem cells are your body’s handyman.
Young plasma is your body’s oil change.
Hormones are your body’s employees.
Peptides are the messages giving them instructions.
Different tools. Different jobs. One goal:
Create the best internal environment possible for healthspan, performance, and longevity.

🔧 STEM CELLS: YOUR BODY’S HANDYMAN
Think about what happens when something in your house breaks.
You call the handyman.
Your body has its own repair system too.
Stem cells are part of the body’s natural repair and regeneration process. They have the ability to develop into specialized cells and participate in signaling involved in tissue maintenance and repair.
That’s why I like to call them:
🔧 YOUR BODY’S HANDYMAN.
Over this series, I’m going to take you inside the science of regenerative medicine—what stem cells are, how they work, where the evidence is strongest, and where the science is still evolving.
Because longevity isn’t simply about living longer.
It’s about maintaining the body you want to live longer in.
Repair. Rebuild. Renew.

WHAT’S YOUR PEPTIDE STACK? 🧬
Meet Larissa.
She’s beginning her own personalized peptide stack as part of her health, wellness and longevity journey.
But here’s the important part:
A peptide stack shouldn’t start with the peptides.
It should start with the GOAL.
Energy?
Recovery?
Sleep?
Metabolism?
Brain performance?
Skin?
Sexual wellness?
Healthy aging?
Different goals may require very different approaches—and no two people necessarily need the same stack.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll follow Larissa’s journey while continuing to explore the science, strategy and possibilities behind peptide therapy.
This is where personalization begins.

29 AGAIN… AND AGAIN. 🎂2️⃣9️⃣
Another birthday.
Same age. 29. 😎
Of course, the number on the calendar keeps moving — but “29 Again” has never been about pretending we don’t age.
It’s about asking a different question:
How young can we continue to LIVE?
How strong can we stay?
How sharp can we keep our minds?
How much muscle can we preserve?
How well can we sleep, move, recover and perform?
And how much life can we put into the years we’re given?
That’s what Dr. 29 means to me.
I don’t want to simply add years to my life.
I want to add LIFE to my years.
So today I’m celebrating another trip around the sun — surrounded by a few baseballs ⚾, a birthday cake 🎂, decades of education on the wall… and still working on becoming the best version of myself.
Because getting older is inevitable.
Feeling old is negotiable.
Here’s to another year of living longer, getting stronger, thinking younger and proving that your best years don’t have to be behind you.
Happy 29th birthday to me… AGAIN. 😂🎉
LIVE LONGER. LIVE STRONGER. FEEL 29.

WHAT’S YOUR PEPTIDE STACK? 🧬
Peptide therapy isn’t about collecting as many peptides as possible.
It’s about choosing the right tools for the right goal.
When I think about peptide stacking, I start with one question:
What are we trying to accomplish?
⚡ Energy & mitochondrial performance
🧠 Brain health & cognitive performance
🌙 Sleep & restoration
🔥 Metabolism & body composition
🎯 Pain management
🔥 Inflammation
➕ Repair & tissue support
🏃 Recovery
❤️ Libido & sexual wellness
✨ Skin & healthy aging
💧 Detoxification & antioxidant support
♾️ Longevity & cellular health
Different goals may call for completely different strategies.
Over the next several posts, I’m going to take you inside my approach to peptide stacking and break it down one goal at a time:
What I use.
Why I use it.
How it works.
And what the science actually says.
Because when it comes to peptides…
You don’t choose the peptide first.
YOU CHOOSE THE GOAL FIRST.

🎉 HAPPY 29 AGAIN DAY!
Every year on July 31st, I turn 28…
…so today, August 1st, I become 29 Again.
People often ask me why.
Because 29 isn’t an age.
It’s a decision.
A decision to keep learning.
To keep growing.
To keep moving.
To keep challenging myself.
To refuse to let the calendar define my potential.
As a longevity physician, I’ve learned that while we can’t stop chronological aging, we can influence how we age.
Your muscles can become stronger.
Your metabolism can become healthier.
Your mind can remain sharp.
Your confidence can grow.
Your quality of life can improve.
Growing older is inevitable.
Growing weaker is not.
That’s the philosophy behind Dr. 29.
It’s not about pretending to be younger.
It’s about making daily choices that help you live younger, feel stronger, and perform better at every stage of life.
So today, I invite you to celebrate with me.
Not my birthday…
But the commitment to become the healthiest version of yourself.
Whether you’re 29, 49, 69, or 89…
Today is the perfect day to become 29 Again.
Happy 29 Again Day!
— Dr. Vernon F. Williams (“Dr. 29”)

Move More. Without More Workouts.
Most people think the key to burning more calories is spending another hour in the gym.
It isn’t.
One of the biggest drivers of daily calorie burn is something called NEAT—Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis. It’s the energy you use simply by living your life: walking, standing, climbing stairs, carrying groceries, gardening, even fidgeting.
These small movements may seem insignificant, but they add up over the course of a day—and often have a bigger impact on metabolism than a single workout.
The goal isn’t to exercise all day.
The goal is to stop being sedentary.
Take the stairs.
Park farther away.
Walk while you’re on the phone.
Stand up every hour.
Those small decisions compound into better metabolic health, better blood sugar control, and more calories burned without feeling like you’re “working out.”
Remember:
Your metabolism isn’t just built in the gym. It’s built by how you move all day long.
— Dr. 29

Fuel Your Muscle. Fuel Your Metabolism.
Most people think fat loss starts with burning calories.
It doesn’t.
It starts with giving your body the raw materials it needs to build and preserve muscle.
Here’s where I tell my patients to focus:
🥩 Prioritize protein to support muscle repair and growth.
🥦 Choose whole, nutrient-dense foods that nourish your metabolism—not just your appetite.
🥑 Don’t fear healthy fats. They support hormone production, brain health, and long-term metabolic function.
🍠 Time carbohydrates around activity so they become fuel instead of excess storage.
💧 Hydrate consistently. Even mild dehydration can reduce energy, strength, and recovery.
Remember:
You don’t build a healthier metabolism in the gym alone. You build it every time you sit down to eat.

YOU DON’T BUILD MUSCLE IN THE GYM.
You build it when you recover.
Most people think muscle is built during a workout.
It isn’t.
The workout is simply the signal.
The actual work happens afterward—when your body repairs, rebuilds, and adapts.
For muscle to grow, your body needs five essential ingredients:
🏋🏽 Resistance Training
Challenge your muscles enough to stimulate growth.
🥩 Adequate Protein
Protein supplies the amino acids needed to repair and build new muscle tissue.
😴 Quality Sleep
Deep sleep is when growth hormone is naturally released and much of your body’s repair work occurs.
⚖️ Healthy Hormones
Testosterone, growth hormone, thyroid hormone, insulin, and other hormones all influence your ability to build and preserve muscle.
❤️ Recovery
Rest isn’t taking time off—it’s where progress happens. Without recovery, your body can’t adapt to the work you’ve done.
Here’s the takeaway…
Training breaks muscle down. Recovery builds it back stronger.
That’s why chasing harder workouts while neglecting sleep, nutrition, or hormone health often leads to frustration instead of progress.
At Dr. 29, we focus on optimizing the entire system—not just your workouts. Because building muscle isn’t simply about looking better.
It’s one of the most powerful ways to improve your metabolism, maintain independence, reduce the risk of chronic disease, and extend your healthspan.
Tomorrow we’ll explore another overlooked metabolic engine: why your daily movement (NEAT) may burn more calories than your workout ever will.
— Dr. 29

MUSCLE IS YOUR METABOLIC SUPERPOWER
Most people think of muscle as something that helps you look better.
I think of it as one of the most powerful organs of longevity.
Muscle doesn’t just help you lift heavier weights—it changes how your body functions every hour of every day.
Healthy muscle helps:
🔥 Increase your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), so you burn more calories even at rest.
🩸 Improve blood sugar control by giving glucose somewhere healthy to go.
💪 Enhance insulin sensitivity, making it easier for your body to use fuel efficiently.
🧬 Support healthy hormone function, mobility, and resilience as you age.
❤️ Reduce the risk of frailty, falls, and loss of independence later in life.
The reality is simple:
You don’t stop building muscle because you get older.
You get older faster when you stop building muscle.
That’s why strength training isn’t just exercise.
It’s an investment in your future.
At Dr. 29, we don’t train to look younger—we train to live stronger, stay independent, and extend healthspan.
Because longevity isn’t measured by the number of birthdays you celebrate…
It’s measured by how well your body allows you to enjoy them.
Tomorrow we’ll explore another overlooked metabolic engine: NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis)—and why the movement you do outside the gym may matter more than the workout itself.
— Dr. 29

YOUR METABOLISM HAS 4 ENGINES.
Most people think metabolism is something you’re born with.
It isn’t.
Your metabolism is the sum of several systems working together every minute of every day.
Think of it as four engines driving your daily calorie burn:
🔥 1. Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)
The energy your body uses just to keep you alive—powering your brain, heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, and every cell in your body. For most people, this is the largest contributor to daily calorie burn.
🚶 2. NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis)
The calories you burn through everyday movement—walking, standing, taking the stairs, gardening, fidgeting, and simply staying active.
🥩 3. TEF (Thermic Effect of Food)
Digesting food requires energy, and protein burns significantly more calories during digestion than carbohydrates or fat. What you eat influences how many calories your body expends processing a meal.
🏋🏽 4. Exercise
Exercise is essential for building strength, protecting your heart, improving insulin sensitivity, and preserving muscle—but it represents only one part of your total daily energy expenditure.
Here’s the takeaway…
If you focus only on exercise while ignoring the other three engines, you’re leaving your greatest metabolic advantages untapped.
At Dr. 29, we focus on building metabolic health, not just burning calories. That means preserving muscle, optimizing hormones, improving nutrition, encouraging daily movement, and supporting recovery—all key ingredients for a longer, healthier life.
Tomorrow we’ll take a closer look at the biggest engine of them all: Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)—and why muscle is one of the most powerful predictors of longevity.
