発表にあった通りW杯メンバーから離脱する事になりました。
怪我をしてからここまで、自分にできることは全てやってきたので何も後悔はありません。

もちろん今回のW杯に出場できない悔しさはありますが、それよりもカタールW杯後からキャプテンとしてこのチームを引っ張り「W杯優勝」という目標を当たり前に口にできる集団へと一緒に成長してこれた事を誇りに思います。

今のチームは本当に素晴らしいチームです。
どんな逆境も乗り越え、まだ見たことのない景��を見せてくれると思います。

自分は今回の活動をもって代表を引退する事にします。
なので、これからは1人のファンとして日本代表を応援していきます。
将来、日本代表がW杯で優勝する瞬間は必ずきます。
それを信じてみんなで応援しましょう。

そしてその瞬間が今大会になるように、日本の力を１つにしてみんなで北中米W杯挑んでいきましょう！！

All said & done, despite what some think of Konate, I rate his time here highly. Huge rotational role with Matip in 21/22, 22/23, hit his groove in 23/24,world class in 24/25. Fell off in 25/26 but had a good 3 months. Mistakes at times, but overall class. No grudges against Ibou

For me, this is horrible. 1st coz he needs replacing. 2nd coz I genuinely wanted him to stay, on his day he’s great as he showed in 24/25. Yes this season was shit but I had confidence he’d come back. 3rd coz after 5 years with 3 cups & a league, he deserved an Anfield goodbye.

I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.

Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.

Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.

Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.

As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.
