#EXCLUSIVE | Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is headed to England, but he won't be alone. Besides the travelling Indian contingent, the 15-year-old will be accompanied by his parents after the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) made a special provision in the youngster's best interest.

The decision-makers fully understand the challenges of integrating someone so young into the senior setup and have therefore decided to send Sooryavanshi's parents along to ensure he does not face any difficulties in acclimatising to foreign conditions. When a French woman got raped by two men in Pakistan, there was outcry in the country and demand that they be executed. Now they've gotten a death sentence.

Good lesson here. You can be racist and focus on the ethnicity of criminals. Or human beings can come together and decide to treat them as ruthlessly as possible. I prefer that approach.

Nowhere in the BBC's bullet points covering this awful story does it highlight the points picked up everywhere else: namely that @HantsPolice handcuffed someone for a false allegation of racism, rather than handcuff the man in the process of killing him. They appeared to care more about name-calling than actual physical violence.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi will be the Orange Cap winner of IPL 2026 for scoring the most runs in the tournament.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 776 runs in IPL 2026.

His competition for the Orange Cap was with Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan.
Shubman Gill was in second place with 722 runs, while Sai Sudharsan was in third place with 710 runs.

In today's final against RCB, both of them had a chance to overtake Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
However, Shubman Gill was dismissed for 10 runs and Sai Sudharsan was dismissed for 12 runs.

As a result, Vaibhav Suryavanshi will finish this IPL season with the highest number of runs.
At just 15 years of age, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become an Orange Cap winner in the IPL.
