@HMRCcustomers I can't find an email address to ask in detail but re Rent a Room Scheme, if the lodger is paying <£7500, it says "automatically tax exempt & you don't need to do anything". So no need to sign up for this or declare this payment anywhere? Just want to be 100% sure.

@HMRCcustomers I thought so, but wanted to be sure when it mentioned "opting in". So there's literally nothing to do, no form to complete to have to officially join this scheme? It's arranged between the person and their lodger, providing the income from it is not over that amount.
