Framing #Budget2024 as a 25% further reduction in #childcare when
a) it won't happen for ELEVEN MONTHS
b) the cost reduction is miniscule in comparison to the THOUSANDS parents are paying
is complete PR & spin. It will nearly be Budget 2025 before ANY costs are reduced

Publication of a list of top 100 earners in RTE - plus publication of a register of side-gigs, freebies and extras will be dynamite as it will show the vast gulf between the few and the many.
And this has been true for a long time. Certainly the years I worked (2011 onwards), it was a highly coveted item. I recall a scuffle amongst the runners for it @Jenny_Darmody 😂
Joining @rtenews colleagues across the island demanding transparency from management on the Ryan Tubridy payments crisis and a pay cap for top earners. @NUJofficial @emma_okelly
I'll go one further: how did NK not tell Ryan Tubridy "yes, contractually we can go after RTE for the money, but we shouldn't - it will damage your reputation and won't be worth it long-term if it comes out" 🤷🏻♀️
I’ve been thinking about this.. if the average agent takes about 10% of client income; I wonder does Noel Kelly and @nkmanagement feel it was worth it to earn an extra 7k per annum on the #Tubridy ‘bonus’ ?
It's unacceptable that women are still travelling for #abortionaccess. We need proper provision of abortion services, full decriminalisation of abortion & empower doctors with the ability to act in the best interests of their patients
"The piecemeal provision of care has a disproportionate impact on disabled women, refugees, and those reliant on public transport."

My op-ed on why women are still travelling for abortion in this morning's @IrishTimes👇
There's still time to tell your TDs that you want action on #AbortionAccess to ensure no woman is left behind.

“The public, and the employees of RTÉ, feel cheated and lied to"
Chair of RTÉ's Trade Union Group Stuart Masterson says the TUG is seeking for the pay of RTÉ’s Executive Board to be published, to “help bring back some level of trust | More: https://t.co/ybuo9I7Fyd
The betrayal to the staff is the most upsetting. The staff I know from my 5 years at RTÉ are hard working people with brilliant integrity. Knowing this happened while the organisation pushed for pay cuts, froze wages & pursued heavy cost-cutting is outrageous.
A statement from the RTÉ NUJ branch following its emergency meeting today, in the wake of revelations about what have been called ‘hidden’ payments made by RTÉ to Ryan Tubridy.
(The meeting was attended by an unprecedented number of people, in my experience.)
If you didn't ask questions, it's because you didn't want to know the answer. Not because you weren't aware there was a discrepancy in public record versus your financial record #RyanTubridy
