In an attempt to explain just why it is that some 77 million Americans voted for the dumbest man alive to be their president for a second time, I’m absolutely delighted to present you with the expanded list of US food that you cannot legally sell in Europe!🧵
1. The Vampires in sinners are a part of a hive mind with Remmick as its nexus. Once he dies any remaining vampires are no longer under his thrall, and thus may retain more of their individual selves than they would have otherwise.
2. Remmick’s vampirism is a stand in for cultural assimilation. Remmick himself was an Irishman who faced oppression from the English/british, and was forced to assimilate under them, describing how although he hated those who forced their religion upon them their words still brought comfort. He then immigrated to America and further assimilated into our culture. He is basically an advocate for cultural assimilation, when he makes new vampires he grows his own community, and those vampires also find new community, but at the cost of their older culture and heritage. It’s fair to call that evil, especially how Remmick forces it, but it’s not a perfect shade of black kind of evil if you know what I mean.
so crazy about the doll humming bayu bayushki, russian lullaby about a big grey wolf who will bite you if you don’t go to sleep - metaphorically reminiscent of how the hunter escapes his transformation in the beginning of the game by making a contract and drifting into the dream
