Remember when certain ppl were saying Trafford shouldn't start for us and isn't better than #1 bc of his mistake against spurs just for Donnarumma to gift Arsenal a free goal in a do or die game in the biggest league game of our season
Rewatched the Villa game.
Just canโt fathom how bad the Donnarumma signing has been; yet it was so obvious.
Unjustifiable amount of errors for a purported world class keeper of his experience and reputation.
If he doesnโt improve and evolve rapidly, we have to cut our losses.
Building a great squad is not that hard. Donโt let incompetent recruitment departments fool you. It was immediately obvious to most of the city fanbase that signings like Donna and Enzo were bad. But apparently not obvious to the departments getting paid for the decisions
A ยฃ125 million midfielder who:
Canโt drop a shoulder
Can only thrive box crashing
Canโt evade pressure
Canโt carry
Line breaking his mid at best
Canโt win a duel for his life
Loves a stamp tackle
Canโt track a runner
Canโt run.
He is by far the worst Iโve seen.
Every time City feature Donnarumma, they already start the game a goal down.
Negative Goal Prevented 5 times already this season. Itโs not even November yet.
Type of signing that tanks your entire project.
This is the first time this season Iโve been genuinely angry.
The individual errors were awful. Guehi again and the myth that Donnarumma is a big game keeper has always been that.
But how do you watch the PSG game and conclude that Bouaddi-Anderson isnโt the solution for these games?
Anderson-Enzo is not a cohesive midfield. Every game they play together the midfield doesnโt exist. You either need to play Enzo advanced or not at all for Villa away because heโs going to be a liability in deeper midfield.
The fact it wasnโt addressed AT ALL staggered me and this feels like a missed opportunity.
