@sammit01 Ngl airdrop is goated for this stuff. after 10y+ only having windows computers, I got a Mac laptop & It’s so fast sending big video / any files
Worth mentioning every cameraman will have their personal preference which is fair,
just from specs & personal experience I see the FX3 as a better fit for most run & gun irl scenarios
“I'm like the only streamer that films with an FX6"
OTK was using FX6's for IRL streams 5 years+ ago lol
w/ the same TVU bags
(which @nmplol was the 1st to use in the streamer space)
Also FX6 doesn't have IBIS, which is why in most cases an FX3 is superior for run & gun IRLs
bigger/more expensive doesn't always = better
some throwbacks from otk events:
BendaDonnn reveals that his streaming backpack costs $30,000
"This backpack is the TVU, and it costs like $30K. I'm like the only streamer that films with an FX6. This is like Netflix. You stream from that camera."
"Basically, it uses SIM cards and bonds them together in a different way. That's how we're able to stream from anywhere in the world."
"You're not serious until you get that backpack. It's like a testament to investing in yourself. The monthly fee for the data is like $4,000."
@satelizer2@nmplol Nope, see them at events on sticks (where it makes most sense)
Was filming xQc’s streams in Florida a month ago & when we did a stream with speed his team was using a FX6
Also Adin Ross’s cameraman told me he’s using one also
Yeah, heavier, bigger & the main benefit for streams (where bitrate is capped) is.. internal NDs / SDI
FX6 is expected to be used w/ a steady cam or gimbal when not on sticks on shoots (why I included the ref pics)
the FX3 is literally tailored more towards run & gun documentary filmmaking (aka irl streams)
@FormulaBone Number of overtakes is far from the only metric of a race being good.. Monaco has arguably the most intense & high stakes qualifying out of any track
There’s 24~ tracks a year.. I don’t see the issue with 1 having less overtaking in exchange for a more special qualifying
@Jiz I thought he stopped posting on all the diff lang ones when youtube added dubbing to videos
Think he even had it so when you went to them it auto redirects to his main for a while
