What is the context of that remark: "Isang ulo lang naman ang kailangan namin. Ang ulo ni Bongbong Marcos."

To understand that, first you have to know what is RAGE Coalition. The RAGE Coalition, formally known (Reform Alliance for Good Governance and Accountability), is a major Philippine national opposition political coalition. Formed in April 2026, it is led by Davao City Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte to contest or express grievances against the Marcos administration and support Vice President Sara Duterte's 2028 presidential bid.

The Coalition according to online info is made up of three main political parties and over 600 affiliated organizations.

In this portion of the speech, Mayor Sebastian Duterte told the wealthy that they had already enjoyed enough privileges, sending their children abroad to study and dining in fine restaurants, and urged them to stop burdening ordinary Filipinos. He then delivered the striking line, “isang ulo lang naman ang kailangan namin, ang ulo ni Bongbong Marcos,” framing the coalition’s struggle as focused squarely on holding Marcos Jr. accountable. He followed this by inviting politicians allied with the administration to defect, encouraging them to join the coalition instead of “destroying their own house,” since they too live in the Philippines and should protect it rather than side with corrupt leadership.

Ito ang naging matinding puna ni dating chief presidential legal counsel Atty. Salvador Panelo kay impeachment presiding officer Sen. Chiz Escudero matapos payagan ang pagbanggit sa affidavit ng self-confessed h!tman na si Arturo Lascañas sa impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte.

Sa panayam sa The Big Story, sinabi ni Panelo na hindi dapat pinayagan ang affidavit dahil, aniya, isa lamang itong “scrap of paper.”

“This presiding officer, excuse me Chiz ha, you’re a walking disaster pagdating sa pagpreside mo. Kasi hindi mo dapat pinayagan ’yun. It was just a scrap of paper.”

Iginiit din ni Panelo na hindi pa napatutunayang tunay ang dokumento dahil, aniya, hindi ito pirmado, hindi notaryado, at hindi pa nabeberipika kung eksaktong reproduksiyon ito ng affidavit na nasa ICC.

“Paano mo malalaman na ‘that paper’ is the exact reproduction of the affidavit in the ICC? Hindi nga napatunayan.”

Nang ipunto ng host na ginamit lamang umano ang affidavit bilang bahagi ng patuloy na imbestigasyon, tumutol si Panelo.

“That’s not an excuse to allow irregularities in the proceeding.”

Ayon pa kay Panelo, maaaring mabuo ang opinyon ng mga nanonood at maging ng mga senador batay sa dokumentong hindi pa umano napatutunayan ang pagiging tunay.

Ang mga pahayag na ito ay reaksyon ni Panelo hinggil sa naging paghawak ng impeachment court sa naturang ebidensiya.

Also they shouldn't have called Matibag as a witness. During the time of the incident Santiago was the NBI director. It was he who would have personal knowledge of the investigation not Matibag.
