Yes, blind people are on Twitter. But most sighted people don’t add alt text to images, excluding us from conversations. For years I’ve used alt text knowing the sweetness of full inclusion. Now, I'm able to partner w/ @MicrosoftEdge to show #AltTextAddsMore#MicrosoftPartner
It is a sad commentary that so much of disability advocacy still has to be devoted to getting others to recognize and respect the humanity of disabled people.

We’re introducing a new Accessibility section for charts.
It includes an audio chart feature allowing visually impaired people to listen to charts by translating numbers to pitched sounds, as well as a written description of the chart.

@KrissyDEngland I have other friends from cultures where they feel insulted by person first because it leaves the disability as the final note.
The point is to talk to the people and not follow strict standards. Follow their preferences where possible.
