From the mist-covered highlands of Kenya to the heart of Paris, France. On 18th June 2026, Kenya's Purple Tea was unveiled at the iconic Hôtel de Crillon in Paris, marking a defining moment for one of Africa's most distinctive tea origins. The unveiling follows a landmark agreement signed during the Africa Forward Summit between Gatanga Industries, Palais des Thés, and Equity Group, aimed at expanding market access for Kenyan specialty tea and connecting producers directly to premium international consumers.
Grown on the fertile volcanic slopes of Kenya's central highlands, the Purple Tea is celebrated for its rarity, vibrant character, floral aromas, subtle fruit notes, and rich concentration of natural antioxidants. It is a tea whose identity is inseparable from the landscape and generations of craftsmanship that bring it to life.
As Murang’a advances its Geographical Indication (GI) journey, the tea is gaining something equally valuable: protection of its origin. GI ensures that purple specialty tea is recognized not merely as a commodity, but as a premium product of provenance-traceable, authentic, and rooted in place.
For tea lovers, it offers the assurance of authenticity. For farmers, it creates an opportunity to retain greater value from the exceptional tea they cultivate.
From Murang’a to Paris, the world is discovering a tea with a name, a place, and a story.

For years, I have said:
1. Kenyans don't understand problems that personally don't affect them
2. Kenyans love teaching others a lesson
Many Kenyans willing to overlook that this is a personal project to extort money & not government project, and signs are absent or hard to see
As promised guys… here are the pics of our new beauty 😎❤️.
Fun fact: bought this car unseen… even as I post this pics, I have not seen the car with my own eyes. 😅. My guy in Mombasa did all the groundwork for me.
Anxiety mbaya sana 🙃.
No forex, no corruption, no kickbacks, no fraud, no Elon money… none of that… !!!
I still can’t believe it😃. If you had asked me 6 years ago… I would have told you this is a dream, but now it’s going to be a memory.
This story has chilled me to the core. Someone can look at you walking on the road, arrest you arbitrarily for nothing, slap a murder charge on you, just like that. Can you imagine the implications of this, long-term??? Can you see how horrific this is???
Today, a new proposal was introduced in the Finance Bill 2026 that would require taxpayers to first pay the principal tax before filing an appeal.
Example: If KRA says a business owes Sh10 million in tax, the business would have to pay the Sh10 million before its appeal can be accepted.
If the business wins, KRA will refund the money or allow it to offset future taxes within 90 days.
I know y’all know very well that the instant fines are a government scheme to extort Kenyans’ money and it has absolutely nothing to do with safety.
Unmarked roads, bumps, unnecessary rumble strips, potholes, unmaintained roads, zero good road signage but just pure greed
