ICC announces a new format for the World Cup 2027:

Round 1: The 12th, 13th, and 14th-ranked teams will compete for one spot in the Super 6s.

Round 2: Seven teams will qualify for the next round — the top 3 from each group in the Super 6s, plus the best-placed team across both groups.

Round 3: Four teams out of the seven will qualify for the semi-finals via a round-robin tournament.
