A fresh gazette, the same old evasion. Rather than clearing pending pay commission dues, the Punjab administration has once again set up a committee under Harpal Cheema, with Aman Arora and Dr Baljit Kaur, to “review” the matter.

After being forced by @AAPPunjab to approach the courts over DA, employees and pensioners now see their legitimate claims pushed into endless files, citing fiscal stress as an excuse. This isn’t leadership, it’s deliberate delay.

For how much longer will justice be denied to those who have already waited far too long?

Today, I visited one of New Zealand’s most advanced greenhouses — a model of how technology, innovation, and sustainability can work hand in hand. On just one acre, farmers here produce 125 tonnes of high-value capsicum each year, worth over ₹4 crore, while conserving water and protecting soil health.

This is not just impressive — it is instructive. Punjab stands at a turning point. Our over-reliance on the wheat–paddy cycle has strained our groundwater, depleted our soils, and limited our farmers’ incomes.

The answer lies in strategic diversification — introducing high-value crops supported by modern infrastructure, precision farming, and strong market linkages.

During interaction with experts, we agreed that a comprehensive agricultural transformation plan that blends the best global practices with Punjab’s unique strengths is the need of hour.
Punjab Congress’ goal is clear:
✅ Boost farmer incomes
✅ Safeguard natural resources
✅ Build a resilient rural economy

Punjab’s farmers are the pride of our nation. With vision, planning, and the right technology, we can secure their prosperity for generations to come.
