#AVFC#AstonVilla Job done.πͺ First half was pretty much flawless, to a man we were absolutely brilliant everyone. Allyson especially was fantastic tonight, the MOTM for me, Really starting to like him this season now. Second half was a bit more of a grind, shame about the goal
(A brilliant volley mind you) that we conceded at the end, but nonetheless a very professional performance from us.
Only gripe is that we're not quite top of the Champions League table, but 9 points out of 9, and 12 goals scored on the the continent, another very positive night
empty seats really would have been very telling tonight. We barely got 34K for Fenerbahce last week, and I doubt we got any more than 33K tonight, if that. Well done on the pricing Villa, well bloody done. My first time watching a home game in three years... wow that was weird.

l've attended no less than 43 Villa home matches in a row over the last two seasons. That run came to an end tonight. Why? Because as a fan, I had to do something in opposition to our disgraceful ticket prices of late. These UCL prices (Β£89 for the
away games too. So for these reasons, I did my bit to protest this, and watched this home game at home instead of being there at B6 like I should've been, as would thousands of others tonight I'm sure. The owners are lucky we're missing a stand at the minute or the swathes of
fellow new acquisition Joao Gomes behind hom, gave us that bit of extra quality we needed to prevail tonight. Given our very poor record against them, and given the fact they are usually a different team under the lights at their St James' Park home, I'd have been very content
ever. But clearly two sides yet to really fully click, two newly restored classic cars yet to fire on all cylinders, still waiting to shift into that Top Gear.
But, thankfully, it was is that came through with the result, thanks to the brilliance of MOTM Johan Manzambe. He, and
#NEWAVL Another away PL game, another HUGE win on the road. I think 31 shots, a mere 4 on target, sums it up really. Two very decent football teams, the two biggest threats to the Sky 6 cartel in recent seasons, coming to blows, in as frenetic and disordered end to end game as
#AVFC We may be flying high on the continent, with 2/2 wins in the UCL, including that 6-0 midweek masterclass. But back in the UK, in the bread and butter Premier League, we're still very much yet to take off. We've now dropped to 17th thanks to Fulham beating Hull just now.
win of the season (that win over Bologna end of September) was the spark that ignited that sensational 11 wins out of 12 in the Autumn/Winter. Now I'm not saying we'll replicate anything quite that spectacular this time round, but I do have hope we can carry on the positivity
