Gregg Rosenthal, around the 25-minute mark, drafted the Detroit Lions offensive line seventh overall — much higher than Ollie Connolly ranked them.
Gregg specifically wanted Penei Sewell on his side and pointed out that the oldest player in the Lions’ OL two-deep is Cade Mays at just 27 years old, a player they previously highlighted on the “Underrated Players” episode.
He also noted Tate Ratledge improved over the second half of last season and gave credit to Hank Fraley as one of the better offensive line coaches in the league.
Connolly’s concerns centered around Sewell initially adjusting to the left side, Detroit “figuring out” the right side, and, oddly enough, the depth — which I’d argue is among the best offensive line depth in the NFL.
Watching Daniss Jenkins and Donovan Mitchell compete on the biggest stage tonight… but had the privilege of watching them compete on a much smaller one nearly 4 years ago now in an off season pickup game at Iona College.
The game moves fast, life moves faster.
You can say the refs blew this game for Detroit and you wouldn’t be wrong…
But the Pistons also blew this game so many times themselves, that’s not what championship teams do sadly
