#Goa is filthy! Stray dogs, stray cattle and everyone feeding them because they think God's will be angry at them. Talk about FEAR. The same restaurants who serve you over priced food which is basically sub standard, also throw the garbage along the roadside usually late at night.

Beautiful bust statue of Dr. Miguel Caetano Dias, born on 9 July 1854 in Santo Estêvão (Jua Island), Goa. He rose from humble beginnings to become one of Goa’s most respected medical professionals during the Portuguese era.

Dr. Dias graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lisbon in 1882. He served as a military doctor in Mozambique before returning to Goa, where he made groundbreaking contributions to public health. He was appointed Director of Health Services and Director of the prestigious Escola Médica Cirúrgica de Goa (Goa Medical School). He led major vaccination campaigns (especially against smallpox), improved sanitation, fought plague outbreaks, and played a key role in modernizing healthcare infrastructure across the state.

The inscription on the pedestal beautifully captures the respect he earned:
"Ao Grande Cirurgião - Homenagem dos seus Concidadãos" (To the Great Surgeon - Homage from his Fellow Citizens).

Past data is not even available. For example, Banda had 49.2°C as highest temp recorded in year 2019 but there is no record for years 1996 to 2006. IMD is the most reliable source for data and yet they don't all of last 30 years for example for Banda. We don't know the trend line, my guess is, from the data I just pulled from IMDB that the trend line in a graph is almost horizontal. The biggest problem with #India is data collection.

This is false. Multiple independent fact-checks (from AajTak, India Today, and others) have confirmed:

The video is not from Delhi or any Indian hostel.
It is an old clip from Nigeria that has been recycled multiple times with false Indian context.
No credible news reports, police complaints, or official records exist of this incident ever happening in a Delhi girls’ hostel.

The story is classic sensational misinformation designed to go viral by stoking outrage. It has been debunked repeatedly since at least October 2025.

Mayor Mamdani’s video targeting Ken Griffin and using his home as a prop traded thousands of real, good-paying jobs in our city for social media likes.

The video was irresponsible, and the Mayor should do the right thing and apologize.

I am going to call @leddalhlwee to let him know the Mayor’s video does not reflect the sentiments of the majority of New Yorkers, and ask him to reconsider.

Targeting millionaires and billionaires may make for a great video, but driving out the top 1% of earners, who pay more than 40% of our income tax, is bad policy.

We need a city where the person who drives the limousine is gainfully employed, and the person who sits in the back of it is acknowledged for their contributions to our city.
