In Burkina Faso, the government has brought together more than 1,000 traditional herbalists as part of efforts to modernize the country’s traditional medicine sector.

The government believes many herbalists hold generations of knowledge about medicinal plants that deserves proper scientific research and testing.

Instead of letting that knowledge disappear, they want to study it, improve it, and see what can be produced safely on a larger scale.

Remember, long before modern hospitals, many African communities relied on traditional medicine for generations.

I have just found out from sources at the Police Hospital that Abu Trica has been rushed to the hospital.

It has been over a week; we haven’t been allowed access to Abu Trica as lawyers; and our request for him to meet him as his lawyers has not been granted.

Infact we have no idea where is he being held and Interpol which first had custody to him say they don’t have him.

We will be filing a habeas corpus application by tomorrow if the Republic continues to deny him something as basic as his right to counsel.

Let’s keep treating our citizens as animals to please the FBI. We are doing well.

Today, it’s a “fraud boy”. Tomorrow it will be a politician.

Flooding has affected our lives year after year, yet it seems not enough has been done to fix this endemic problem in the short or long term. The ting over taya me. We deserve better. We should do better.
