@SweeperPod Shetland men's volleyball team have been playing national league and cup h and a for quite a no. of seasons. Shetland women joined the national league last year.
Great credit to them and their opponents for such a commitment of time and costs.

@PCreaney67 @SPFLWatch Spain didn't start with their strongest team against Cape Verde which almost certainly helped them to get a result. Brazil needed to beat Scotland following their draw with Morocco and therefore played full strength and "flat out" v Scotland.

@dadbegg Star studded? teams lost 3-0 to Morocco and to Costa Rica,drew with Iran! Not great in US but perspective, please!
We would improve with a 16 team top div. and Scots developed/played, not ave. players from low tiers in other countries, eg Dun Utd have started with 11 non Scots!

@dadbegg Playing each team 3/4 x means financially stronger clubs have the resources and the match day support to dominate the league. A team could win on head to head points more readily against Glasgow's big two if they play them only 2x instead of 4x, increasing chances of a title win

Haven't seen anyone mention "Camp coffee" created in Scotland as a chicory alternative to coffee for cost reasons.
Mention of Izal toilet rolls still make me shudder. Both unpleasant and very inefficient!!

@GaelicRoadSign Totally agree!! Increase size of the leagues too, taking pressure off some teams to let them play youngsters. Won't happen, cos all want to play R and C up to 4 times at home to max income.However, also harder to finish ahead of R or C when you play them 4 times!
