I will never forget the "Haitians eating cats" lie. I will never let it go. It was so deliberate and monstrous and unprovoked and cruel, and no one has ever apologized for it.
His father, Ibrahim, is one of the greatest SLUM LORDS of College Park, MD. It is extremely fair to say that my fraternity, as well as many others, paid for all those AAU Leagues and Basketball Camps. No knock against Ibra—name of the game, and he’d let us throw ragers all the time. Chill dude. Slum lord. Thanks for the housing. Want credit where it s due, that’s all.
It's worth remembering that DOGE is a failure at Every. Single. Possible. Level.
At the micro level, they misread, misled and straight up lied about many of the 'savings'. They'd announce '500m saved!' and it would be some contract where the money was 98% already spent and already wasn't being renewed.
At the macro level, they didn't impact spending at all. The government is spending more in 2025 than 2024, on basically the same trajectory but a little more.
At the institutional level, they didn't even convince the GOP that deficits are a problem worth caring about. The GOP just passed a bill that explodes the deficit by trillions of dollars.
At a personal level, Elon got run out of town with his tail between his legs and the most notable public facts about the Cracked Coders are that one of them was a mini Hitler, one was called 'big balls' and none of them bothered to learn how the government actually works before they lit it on fire.
They gutted a bunch of important institutions, fired whole departments at random, decimated medical research funding, killed a bunch of people dependent on USAID, and still failed at every possible level.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium in California costs $295 for a family membership or $125 for a single adult
If you have an EBT Food Card entry is free, and up to 4 people can get in for free every time you go
There is a strong incentive for these people to never get off Food Stamps
My joker moment was going on a boys trip to Scottsdale and having multiple people out at bars ask me if I was Charlie Kirk. And then insisting it wasn’t an insult when I was visibly repulsed
Part of the negative reaction to this is hardcore gym bros not being able to cope with the fact that all the additional hours spent in the gym per week, hardcore diets, supplement spending, etc. above what is optimal have had ~0 incremental impact on being able to attract a woman
Actually yes, this is accurate because tax rates have not changed under Trump and yet our public services are being hollowed out in real time by unelected “department chiefs” like Musk
The people who constantly post the below meme *now* want us to sacrifice on behalf of people other than ourselves as we start to feel the impact of the Trump tariffs
Berkshire Hathaway paid $26.8bn in taxes in 2024, which is 5% of ALL corporate taxes collected by the IRS that year.
This is Buffett's response to that. Truly a class act.
Today Elon called the commander of the ISS a retard, threatened to turn off Community Notes because it corrected him, and then shadowbanned the mother of his children because she had to post in public to get his attention about their kid's serious medical emergency.
so uh,
This is one of the most interesting, and most deeply mistaken responses I've seen to the Marko Elez saga.
@cremieuxrecueil's view, paraphrased, seems to be "You should be able to have any belief as long as it doesn't hinder your ability to do your job"
But technical ability is not what really matters at high levels of government. I don't care if this kid is a cracked coder or whatever. To be in control of the federal government requires wisdom. It requires moral judgment and courage.
If Marko Elez thinks some races are subhuman, worthy of hatred, etc, that seems like a more important factor than his coding ability when he's in a position to decide the fate of programs that impact literally hundreds of millions of people. He's not flipping burgers, he's part of a very small and disruptive team trying to radically alter the structure of the federal government. His racism *directly* impacts his ability to do the job in a fair and impartial way. There is no 'neutral' way to ignore his views and just imagine he's clicking buttons.
I'm baffled this is hard for anyone. Maybe @cremieuxrecueil is just a racist trying to cover for other racists. Maybe they're so blinded by other instances of cancel culture they've forgotten that it's bad for vile racists to run society. Maybe they're just a vice-signaling edgelord. I don't know, but it's a poor response either way.
For the sake of both of our kids? Grow up.
Racist trolls on the internet, while offensive, don't threaten my kids. You know what does? A culture that denies grace to people who make mistakes. A culture that encourages congressmen to act like whiny children.
