Bhubaneswar, June 26, 2025: As Odisha gears up for the grand Rath Yatra, Reliance Industries Limited, in close collaboration with the Puri district administration, has launched a comprehensive series of efforts to ensure that visitors enjoy a safe, comfortable, and enriching journey.
The annual chariot festival in Puri draws lakhs of devotees who gather to witness the majestic procession of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple.
Honouring the spirit of seva, Reliance Foundation, with its characteristic We Care spirit, is proud to support this 13-day sacred journey with meaningful contributions.
“Seva is deeply rooted in Reliance's ‘We Care’ philosophy, and the opportunity to serve devotees in Puri is truly a blessing. We believe that by serving pilgrims and personnel during the Rath Yatra, we are serving the divine. We are committed to enriching the experience of visitors through various initiatives, ranging from food to safety, making their journey smoother, safer and more comfortable,” said Shri Anant M Ambani, Executive Director, Reliance Industries Limited.
Key highlights of Reliance’s Seva initiative:
· Anna Seva: Reliance Foundation is serving hot, wholesome meals to lakhs of devotees and police personnel at six key locations along the yatra route, ensuring no one goes hungry.
· Hygiene Focus: Installing contactless sanitisers at food stalls, supplying garbage bags for cleanliness in collaboration with the municipality, and extending sanitation amenities to police camps.
· Crowd Management: Collaborating with municipal and police authorities to guide devotees with clear direction boards and markers, ensuring smooth navigation for visitors from afar.
· Volunteer Support: Over 4,000 trained volunteers, wearing identifiable uniforms, will manage crowds and oversee water points to keep devotees hydrated in the summer heat.
· Comfort in Heat: Distributing over 1.5 lakh eco-friendly hand fans to help pilgrims beat the heat.
· Police Support: Setting up 100 police aid posts with shelters for on-duty personnel, offering accessible help points for devotees.
· Weather Preparedness: Keeping the rainy season in mind, 3,500 raincoats have also been distributed among police staff. Volunteers, municipal staff, and police personnel will be provided with refreshment kits.
Earlier this year, during Maha Kumbh 2025, Reliance had engaged in service for several lakhs of visitors in Prayagraj with initiatives from meals to health to transport services. With a strong commitment to supporting communities during spiritual events, Reliance has been demonstrating a deep commitment to ensure a safe, healthy, experience for all. The activities during this year’s Rath Yatra at Shri Kshetra are yet another opportunity to serve humanity and the divine.

Trump, as is his personality, thrusted himself in the current conflict creating a narrative that he resolved the problem. Pakistan keeps on thanking Trump. India did not even mention Trump once during the last 2 days.
We need not and should not antagonize America. At the same time, India should tell him privately that even if he plays some role, the ultimate decision about our country is only with our government. No third party should take credit, at least publicly.
No one can stop Trump from boasting even for non existent achievements. Let him have his fun in closed door meetings and not in public.
India's self respect and independence needs to be respected by America.

Meal on the Plane
I was seated in my seat on the flight, heading to Delhi—a journey of around 6 hours. I planned to spend the time reading a good book and getting an hour of sleep.
Just before takeoff, around 10 soldiers came and sat around me, filling the nearby seats. Thinking it would be interesting, I asked the soldier next to me, “Where are you headed?”
“To Agra, sir! We have two weeks of training there, and then we’ll be sent on an operation,” he replied.
An hour passed. An announcement was made: “Lunch is available for purchase for those who wish to buy.”
I thought to myself—still a long way to go, maybe I should eat. I reached for my wallet to book my meal when I overheard a conversation.
“Shall we also get lunch?” one of the soldiers asked.
“No, it's too expensive here. Let’s eat at a regular hotel once we land,” another replied.
“Alright.”
I walked up to the flight attendant and said, “Please give lunch to all of them,” and paid for everyone’s meal.
Tears welled up in her eyes. “My younger brother is posted in Kargil, sir. It feels like you’re feeding him. Thank you,” she said, bowing in gratitude.
That moment touched me deeply.
I returned to my seat. Within half an hour, all of them received their lunch boxes.
After finishing my meal, I headed to the restroom at the back of the plane. An elderly gentleman came from a rear seat.
“I noticed everything. You deserve appreciation,” he said, extending his hand.
“I’d like to be part of your good deed,” he added, slipping a ₹500 note into my hand.
I came back to my seat. Half an hour later, the flight’s pilot walked over, scanning seat numbers until he found mine. He smiled and said, “I’d like to shake your hand.”
I unbuckled my seatbelt and stood up. As he shook my hand, he said, “I was once a fighter pilot. Back then, someone just like you bought me a meal. I never forgot that—it was a symbol of love. What you did brought back that memory.”
All the passengers clapped. I felt a little shy. I didn’t do it for praise—I simply did a good deed.
I walked a bit toward the front of the plane. A young man, about 18, shook my hand and slipped a note into my palm.
The journey came to an end.
As I waited near the door to exit, a man silently placed something in my pocket and walked off. Another note.
As I stepped out of the plane, the soldiers were all gathered in one place. I rushed over, pulled out all the notes fellow passengers had given me, and handed them to the soldiers.
“Use this for food or anything else before you reach your training site. What we give is nothing compared to the protection you provide us. Thank you for what you do for our nation. May God bless you and your families,” I said, eyes slightly wet.
Those ten soldiers were now carrying with them the love of an entire flight. As I got into my car, I silently prayed, “Lord, please watch over these brave souls who are ready to give their lives for this country.”
A soldier is like a blank cheque made payable to India, redeemable for any amount, up to and including their life.
So many still don’t understand their greatness.
Whether you share this or copy and paste—it’s up to you.
No matter how many times we read it, it always brings tears.
Read it. Pass it on.
Respecting the sons of Mother India is the same as respecting ourselves.

Yet another survival story from the tainted Baisaran valley in Pahalgam. We survived the horror to tell the story of what can only be described as monstrous act and paint the heavenly beauty blood-red with hellfire.
By the grace of the God, luck, and some quick thinking from an Army officer saved not only our life but lives of another 35-40 people that day. Here's how the events unfolded for us that day. #Pahalgam #PahalgamTerroristAttack
We had postponed our trip by 2 days due to bad weather to cover Pahalgam in our 8 day trip and visit the place which is described by many as paradise in Kashmir on the fateful day. Little did we know the ramifications of that one decision. We were four of us that day me, my wife, my brother and my sister-in-law who traveled from Srinagar to Pahalgam by car. My brother is a senior officer in the Indian Army and was on vacation to spend time with the family and accompanied us for the trip.
We reached Pahalgam town around 12:30pm on Tue, 22nd April and took the pony ride to Baisaran valley and reached by 1:35 pm. It was completely muddy road until the top and covered by Pine trees on the hills all around. The 2 pony guides talked to us of the beauty and charm that is Pahalgam . We entered by the main gate like everyone else and went to one of the cafes setup by the left side of entrance. We were taken away by the majestic view and the landscape and enjoyed it with a cup of tea and kawa. The clock showed 02:00 PM, so we got up to take a stroll and click some photos of what should have been the cover photo of the Kashmir trip album. We were lucky to move in the direction opposite of the entrance. 1/4
Long one but very relevant and the logic I truly believe in which is being RATIONAL
An Investor bought Tata Motors at ₹300.
It touched ₹1170.
He held on.
Now it’s at ₹630.
He is now unsure whether to hold, sell, or buy more.
No, this thread isn’t about Tata Motors.
This is about your mindset.
Because the biggest mistake wasn’t holding the stock.
It was anchoring his emotions to a number.
Let’s break it down:
In 1975, psychologists Tversky and Kahneman discovered:
Humans aren’t rational.
They’re emotional.
The moment we see a price—any price—our brain treats it as a reference point for everything that follows.
So when Tata Motors hit ₹1170, his brain locked that in.
From that point on, anything lower feels like a “loss.”
Even ₹635, which is still 100% above his purchase price.
This is called: Anchoring Bias.
It makes you blind to present value.
And a prisoner of past numbers.
Now add another sneaky psychological trap: The Endowment Effect
He didn’t just “buy” Tata Motors.
He owned it.
He attached emotion to it.
He made it personal.
And the moment something becomes “yours,”
you overvalue it, irrationally.
So you hold on longer than you should.
Because selling it feels like giving up a piece of your identity.
Here’s the paradox:
When the stock is with you → ₹635 feels “too low” to sell
When you don’t own it → ₹635 feels “too high” to buy
Same price.
Different emotion.
Same irrational trap.
So what’s the solution?
I asked him:
“If he didn’t own Tata Motors, would he buy it today at ₹635?”
If the answer is YES — then hold.
If the answer is NO — then sell and redeploy that capital better.
That’s not emotion.
That’s logic.
The market doesn't care:
>How much did you buy a stock for
>How high it once went
>How long you held it
It only asks:
“Is this the best place for your money RIGHT NOW?”
If not — move.
No guilt. No grief.
Because the truth is:
You’ll never sell at the top.
You’ll never buy at the bottom.
But if you master your mind,
You’ll always protect your capital.
That’s how wealth is built.
Not by holding tight, but by letting go — at the right time.
Anchoring Bias traps your decisions.
Endowment Effect clouds your judgment.
Emotional attachment kills your returns.
Escape all three.
By asking one honest question:
Would I buy this today?
Over 95% of investors underperform the index.
Not because of bad stocks.
But because of bad psychology.
Learn the game.
Or be played by it.
