The greatest celebration in world football.
Pioneered by a man who
Doesn’t cheat opponents.
Doesn’t defraud opposition,
Doesn’t rely on help from referees,
Doesn’t pretend to be humble.
Beyond one generation,
Beyond just football,
Beyond just one man,
SIUUUUUUUUUUU!
Is This Why No African Nation Has Ever Won the World Cup? (France Edition)
Before the France-Spain semi-final, Spain's former Prime Minister claimed France had a world-class team, but "no French players," referring to the immigrant roots of many of its stars.
Lamine Yamal, whose parents are from Morocco and Guinea, disagreed, saying football should bring people together.
But the bigger question remains: why do so many players with African roots reach World Cup semi-finals for European nations, while no African country has ever reached a final?
The issue isn't talent. It's management. European academies develop it, while many African football systems continue to struggle with poor administration, funding, and player support.
Is football simply integration, or is Africa losing its best talent?
