Dear Young Founders,

Valuation oxygen की तरह है। आज के startup ecosystem में survive करने के लिए आपको इसकी बहुत जरूरत है। लेकिन याद रहे कि आपने सिर्फ सांस लेने के लिए जीना नहीं शुरू किया था।

आपने अपना घर छोड़ा, नौकरी छोड़ी, और इतने बड़े जोखिम लिए, सिर्फ इसलिए नहीं कि आपको अगले राउंड की फंडिंग मिल जाये।

आपने शुरुआत इसलिए की थी क्योंकि आपने बाजार में एक कमी देखी, कुछ ऐसा जो ठीक नहीं था और आपको भरोसा था कि आप उसे बेहतर कर सकते हैं…

लेकिन एक बार जब आप पैसा जुटा लेते हैं, तो अक्सर सवाल एक जैसे होने लगते हैं:

आप कितनी तेजी ���े आगे बढ़ रहे हैं?
आपका अगला valuation क्या है?
आप अगले milestone पर कब पहुंच रहे हैं?

अचानक, हर फैसला ऐसा लगने लगता है जैसे वह सिर्फ कुछ आंकड़ों को बेहतर करने के लिए ��िया जा रहा है।

हाँ, valuation मायने रखता है और आगे बढ़ना भी जरूरी है। यह आपको रेस में बनाए रखता है। लेकिन जो चीज समय के साथ बढ़ती और मजबूत होती है, वही आपके काम की असली कीमत है – यानी ऐसे products जिन पर लोग भरोसा करें, ऐसी टीमें जो आपके vision में विश्वास रखें, और ऐसे solutions जो सचमुच लोगों की जिंदगी को बेहतर बनाएं।

बड़ा मुकाम और बड़ा बदलाव कुछ असली और ठोस बनाने से आता है, न कि सिर्फ numbers के पीछे भागने से।

इसलिए सोच-समझकर आंकलन करें। समझदारी से funds जुटाएं। अच्छी नीयत के साथ आगे बढ़ें।

कभी भी scoreboard को अपने असली मकसद पर हावी मत होने दें।

जिंदा रहने के लिए oxygen जरूरी है। लेकिन यह मत भूलिए कि आपने सांस लेना क्यूँ शुरू किया था।
