🚨🗣️ Manuel Pellegrini: “When it happens to you as time goes on you begin to realize everything Mourinho says about the Laliga refereeing system have been true.”
🚨Roy Keane on Phil Foden scoring his first goal since 2025:
“Phil Foden finally scores a goal for Manchester City after what feels like an eternity, and everybody is celebrating like he's just won them the Champions League. Listen, I'm happy for the lad, but let's be honest, he's been missing in front of goal for far too long. We know he's got quality, we've seen what he can do, but at a club like Manchester City, you can't keep living off what you did two seasons ago. You have to produce now.
And then you look at Pedro Neto today. Two goals against Everton, helping Chelsea get the win, and suddenly he's the one surprising everybody. That's what I want to see from attacking players. Take responsibility, make something happen, give your team a reason to celebrate. You don't always have to be spectacular, but you've got to contribute. Neto did exactly that today.
Now, with Erling Haaland, we know what we're getting. He's a goalscorer, he's ruthless, and his job is to put the ball in the net. But even playing alongside someone like Haaland, Foden has to find his own way to influence games. You can't expect Haaland to carry the entire attacking responsibility while everyone else gets praised for simply being on the pitch. City need more players stepping up, and Foden getting back among the goals is a positive sign.
But the one I'm really keeping an eye on is Florian Wirtz. Honestly, how long has it been since we've seen him score? You look at Foden finally ending his drought, you see Neto coming out today and scoring twice, and you start wondering when Wirtz is going to give us something similar. He's got the ability, there's no question about that, but ability alone doesn't win you football matches.
Hopefully, he watches what these two have done, takes some confidence from it and gets himself a goal soon. Because you can talk about talent, technique and potential all day long, but eventually you've got to put the ball in the back of the net. That's the difference between a player people talk about and a player who actually delivers when his team needs him. Enough waiting around. Let's see some goals!”
Barcelona won the first leg 3-0. Before the return leg, the dictator Franco threatened the Barça players and their families to face consequences if they won again.
And you’re really out here flexing that? You have to be shameless.💀
🚨 DAVID MOYES ON CHELSEA, COLE PALMER AND TODAY’S CONTROVERSIAL REFEREEING DECISIONS!
🗣️“Honestly, I have a serious problem with some of the decisions we saw today. When you play against a team like Chelsea, you expect the referee to be fair to both sides, but some of the challenges and decisions left me asking questions.
“Let’s talk about Cole Palmer’s challenge on my player. For me, that was a very dangerous challenge, and I believe the referee should have taken a much closer look at it. When a player makes a challenge of that nature, you cannot simply wave play on and pretend nothing happened. These are the moments that can change a game, and the consequences could be serious for the player on the receiving end.
“People will say it is part of football, but there must be a standard. If the same challenge had been made by one of my players against a Chelsea player, would we be having a different conversation right now? That is the question people need to ask.
“And Palmer was not the only incident that raised concerns. We also saw Morgan Rogers make a challenge that deserved serious scrutiny. Yet, once again, there was no red card.
“So, what exactly is the standard here? Are we judging challenges by how dangerous they are, or are we allowing certain incidents to pass because of the circumstances surrounding the game?
“I don’t want to accuse anybody of deliberately favouring one team without evidence, but I will say this: the officials must be consistent. Football cannot operate with one standard for one team and another standard for the opposition.
“What frustrates me most is that these decisions can completely change the atmosphere of a match. Players become frustrated, managers are forced to react, and supporters are left wondering whether the same rules are being applied to everybody.
“Chelsea are a big club with quality players, and nobody is denying that. But being a big club should not mean that controversial decisions automatically go your way. Every team deserves the same protection from the referee.
“If a Chelsea player deserves a red card, show the red card. If an Everton player deserves one, show it to him as well. It really is that simple.
“At the end of the day, we can talk about tactics, possession and individual quality all we want, but the officials also have a responsibility to ensure that the game is played fairly.
“My concern is not about making excuses. My concern is about consistency, because that is what every manager expects when he sends his players onto the pitch.
“If we want people to respect the Premier League, we must be able to trust that the rules are being applied equally, regardless of the badge on the shirt.”
People laughed at Arsenal for years, but now the same people are watching us compete at the highest level.
The pressure is different when Arsenal are winning, and the excuses are getting harder to find. We’re not here to participate anymore. We’re here to take everything.
🚨🎙️Everton's Ainsley Maitland-Niles Explains Why He Refused to Take the Knee Against Chelsea;
🗣️Interviewer: Why did you refuse to take the knee before today’s match?
🗣️Maitland-Niles: “I respect the fight against racism, but we need to be honest. Players have been taking the knee for years, yet racism continues. How long will we keep making gestures without seeing real change?
Racism cannot be washed away by kneeling for a few seconds. We need concrete punishment, accountability and serious consequences for those responsible.
I don’t need to kneel for anyone to decide whether my life matters. I know my worth. This isn’t about disrespecting the movement; it’s about demanding more than symbolism. If we truly want to end racism, actions must speak louder than gestures.”
