While supervising ongoing road reshaping works along the Kwabenya Cluster of Schools stretch to Abuome Junction, Dome-Kwabenya MP Elipklim Akurugu unexpectedly met a group of young footballers in the area.
During a brief exchange, the young footballers lamented their inability to afford football boots for training and local matches.
Moved by their situation and passion for the game, the MP immediately stepped in to support them, purchasing 42 pairs of football boots.
The intervention, she said, was to ensure that lack of basic sporting equipment does not hinder their talent and future prospects.
