@JohnCleese I understand that restaurants are financially in a bind. Margins are tight. If they do living wages or facsimile thereof, people beat their chests because “I can make this cheaper at home” because they aren’t factoring in rent of building, wages, prices for food, utilities etc

@CasuallyGreg This has been standard for a century. Restaurants can be in a bind. Patrons get testy about paying for meals as is but if the restaurants really paid living wages plus the actual cost of meals, people get outraged because they can’t math.
