Born in Kunshan, Jiangsu, Kunqu Opera is known as the “ancestor of a hundred operas.”
This autumn, its legacy lives on at the Chinese Opera Gala (Kunshan) 2026, running from September 20 into early November. Come experience Chinese opera where Kunqu Opera began.
