With London's industry being kicked around by Jenrick & the Mayor, get inspired by Mark Brealey's movie & RT the link to everyone. Love this city.
#COVID19 has highlighted that industry is needed & needs to be saved from extinction in London .Considered noisy & old fashioned to some it is proving to be vital to the economy whilst the high street & other sectors is on the floor.
A London mayoral candidate asked to visit us at the Kaymet factory. Good opportunity to raise awareness of threats to London’s industry, so I uploaded a recently done video. It races through reasons we should retain a welcome for industry in cities. Here: https://t.co/eneOXdtTtb

Delighted to have successfully defended this appeal instructed by @SouthwarkLawCen and alongside colleague @CTFStreeten - a great result for local residents and @lb_southwark . A timely reminder of the importance of plan-led devpt even in the face of significant housing need

"As soon as crowds are safe again we will rustle one up to witness the hoisting of the blue and yellow @TheQueensAwards flag above @kaymetlondon Works, and it will be visible fluttering from far away over the Asda car park" says Old Kent Road factory boss

@MayorofLondon But how come your messages about who can travel to work are different from the Government's? I signed up for https://t.co/vtiia7I3K0 notifications to help make appropriate decisions, yet now see that you have been pumping out messages that contradict Government. Very confusing.
@MayorofLondon@bbclondon But Government instruction is that "those who cannot work from home and have to travel to work can continue to do so". It is really confusing that the Mayor of London is giving out messages that contradict the Government's.
@MayorofLondon But whose rule is this? It contradicts Government instructions and so is confusing. How are other workers doing jobs that can't be done from home, and who rely on public transport, meant to get to work?
@MayorofLondon Your messages don't align with Government's. For example, yesterday the Sec' of State wrote to those working in manufacturing stating 'there is no restriction on manufacturing continuing under the current rules', yet you say only key workers can travel to work. It's confusing.
The Inspectors' report on the London Plan is highly significant for Southwark Council's New Southwark Plan and the Public Hearings in 2020 - it helps to show too much industrial land is planned to disappear: https://t.co/KFJT1uHB2M
