I help people with vitiligo recover up to 80% of their skin pigment while slowing the progression naturally without using any topical steroid ointments
How I Recovered 85% of My Pigment Back From Vitiligo Naturally in 6 Months Without Using Rx Creams
Hi my name is Amir and I've had vitiligo since I was 12.
It started off as a white patch on my finger and throughout the past 20 years, it completely took over my body.
I tried the conventional methods of recovering from my vitiligo by seeing doctors - they offered me topical steroid creams and UVB light therapy.
Unfortunately those therapies didn't work for me, and my vitiligo began to spread more and more.
By the time I was 29, I was almost completely depigmented.
I spent all my 20s trying to hide it through tanning sprays, wearing long sleeved clothes, and even make up.
I was living in constant shame of my appearance and feeling isolated from everyone else.
It impacted my emotional health so much that I had problems dating - I thought I'd be single without a partner for the rest of my life.
I gave up hope in trying to treat this condition, and eventually got tired of masking my vitiligo.
I had accepted I'd be mostly albino, and I finally for once found some level of peace within myself.
Around age 32, I decided to become a holistic health practitioner because I wanted to achieve a superior level of health from within.
If I wasn't happy from the outside, I definitely wanted to "feel" my best internally.
When I started my school and began applying the holistic health principles I learned, the most shocking thing happened ..
I noticed freckles of pigment appearing all across my body!
My skin was repigmenting at an incredible speed, the likes I've never seen before.
It looked weird, and I preferred to stay all white at this point, but my intuition told me to keep going.
I was extremely curious to see how much color I could recover on my skin ..
Within 6 months of applying the holistic health principles I learned, I had regained 85% of my color back!
(See the attached before and after photos).
I couldn't believe that I had accidentally found a way to recover from vitiligo naturally (all while without using any prescription creams or therapy).
After I graduated from school and became a certified holistic health practitioner, I decided I wanted to help others with vitiligo recover from this condition.
My life changed so much within those years, even beyond just recovering my color back.
I gained my confidence back, and felt great about myself (both my appearance and who I am).
Shortly after, I ended up meeting a beautiful woman who I've been in an amazing relationship with.
Even though some of my vitiligo remains - she fully loves and accepts me regardless.
She even finds my remaining spots sexy 😅
The reason I share all this is because I want to provide hope for anyone that still struggles with vitiligo.
It can be reversed, maybe not completely, but enough for you to feel good in your skin and feel great inside and out!
I'll be creating content here to share what I did during those 6 months to recover - so follow me here on X to learn how.
If you're interested in learning more about my holistic health services, I offer private 1:1 coaching to help those with vitiligo recover their pigment back naturally.
Just reply here in this thread with the word "Hope" and I will DM you with more information ☺️

Sometimes it’s the little adjustments that make all the difference, especially when in a new environment.
This past month living in Brazil, I was still able to keep up with a vitiligo friendly diet.
With vitiligo, I always avoid processed and gluten containing foods. They are a common cause of digestive issues and can potentially cause vitiligo to spread - especially gluten.
At home, I always choose certified organic foods as they are up to 4x in nutrition with no toxic chemicals added.
During my time here, I’ve been strict with eating only rice and potatoes as my main source of carbs outside of vegetables.
For meats however, it has been hard purchasing organic.
We had to drive one hour to the main city to find a market to get organic meats and produce.
When we eat at home, I’m grateful my girlfriend has been very accommodating in cooking me meals that are vitiligo friendly.
I always challenged myself to be someone who can adapt in various environments while keeping my health optimized as much as possible - whether I am staying at a friend's house for a few days, traveling locally, or traveling internationally.
With vitiligo, I am keenly aware if I get any new white freckles which can indicate that new patches are forming.
The biggest potential issue that could aggravate vitiligo outside of being on a bad diet is food poisoning. Last time I was here 10 months ago, I had gotten food poisoning from eating a salad at a local restaurant.
I did notice after that incident, it caused a few pin drop sized spots to appear on my arms and thighs. I was able to repigment them after a few months when I got back home on my usual routine.
This is important - but it’s harder to repigment from vitiligo than to prevent it from spreading.
This trip though, I brought with me a couple herbal supplements and digestive enzymes to help prevent any chance of food poisoning.
I usually take them when eating out, and have asked my girlfriend to use fresh bottled water in cleaning vegetables and in cooking stews.
Overall, it did take an adjustment to keep up with my diet regimen here, but it’s been worth it! I brought my core supplements with me as well to make sure I am on top of my nutritional intake.
When you become a Holistic Vitiligo Warrior like me, you need to alway stay vigilant when it comes to your health to reduce the risk of new patches - it takes some getting used too but becomes a way of life that has a lot of benefits outside just vitiligo.
@WhollyCross01 @KristinaRevay Hi Wholly! I am trying to send you a DM to get your email to send this over however I'm unable to do so.
Please send me a DM whenever you can so I can get this to you.
@mustbcrazi_erin Hi Erin, I missed you!
I’ve been more active on Instagram lately as I’ve just been focused on creating content and helping those with vitiligo.
Thanks for all your support, I will do better to be more active again here on X.
If you think the Sun is bad for vitiligo, you’ve been had.
I’d like to set the record straight - the belief that the sun is bad for vitiligo and the skin overall is a common misconception based on outdated and false information.
🛑 Myth: You need to avoid the sun if you have vitiligo.
✅ Reality: Moderate sun exposure is perfectly safe. UV is a vital factor in UVB which is proven to treat and repigment vitiligo.
The sun is also one of the best sources of Vitamin D3, which is known to regulate the immune system which helps reduce the spread of vitiligo.
I was out in the sun for 5-7 days a week for 6 months. In fact, sun exposure was ½ of the equation of my own vitiligo recovery.
The other half being the correction of long-term digestive issues and nutritional deficiencies.
The worst thing that happened to me during those 6 months was that I got a minor sunburn a couple of times because I was pushing the boundary on how long I could be out for.
A study done in the Netherlands showed that vitiligo patients are 3x less likely to get skin cancer. Dr. Hansje-Eva Teulings of the University of Amsterdam, a lead researcher in the study, said: “We observed a significant threefold lower odds for melanoma during lifetime in vitiligo patients.
The anti-melanocyte immune response in vitiligo, in which melanocytes are destroyed in the skin, may be responsible for the observed decrease in melanoma lifetime prevalence.”
So to conclude, understanding this myth can completely change your approach and help you make real progress with your vitiligo.
Don’t let myths, especially about the sun, steer you in the wrong direction!
Yes - there are the events that trigger the vitiligo to activate in the individual and then health & lifestyle factors that cause it to spread.
As these people get older without addressing the root causes of the vitiligo, more issues and health complications can occur such as the ones you mentioned in the case of MJ.
The National Sleep Foundation says that chronic sleep loss can put your immune system at risk.
Chronic sleep deprivation can alter the immune system, which can lead to chronic inflammation and an increased risk of autoimmune disorders, including vitiligo.
@AnnaMaria290858 I’m fairly certain it was from trauma by his own father through mental and physical abuse.
Consistent trauma to that degree causes chronic stress which definitely plays a significant role in many chronic health conditions including triggering and spreading vitiligo.
My Battle with Travel Anxiety - A Lesson on Trust
Ever worried sick about your luggage going missing on a trip?
That was me last week.
I had planned a trip from Los Angeles to Rio de Janeiro, and I was anxious about my luggage vanishing mid-journey.
Last time I traveled, my luggage took a detour of its own, so this time, I bought three Apple AirTags.
One for my suitcase, one for my carry-on, and one for my backpack.
I tested them out before my flight, but I couldn’t shake the worry.
During the flights, I found myself obsessively checking the “Find My” app on my iPhone.
Every couple of hours, there I was, refreshing the page to make sure I knew where everything was.
Even though the AirTags were showing my stuff was exactly where it should be, my mind refused to trust it.
I was anxious, glued to my phone.
But when I finally landed in Brazil, guess what?
All my luggage was safe and sound!
Just like the AirTags promised.
I realized something important that day: when you’ve got a dependable system in place, you’ve got to trust it and not let anxious thoughts take over.
This ties back to my journey with vitiligo.
For years, I felt helpless, trying everything the doctors recommended—creams, light therapy.
Nothing worked.
Then I found a holistic approach that targets the root causes.
And just like those AirTags, it works.
Believe in the systems that truly work for you. Don’t let doubt steal your peace of mind.

Taking proteolytic enzymes and Betaine HCL with each meal can help those with stomach acid issues.
The enzymes help break down proteins into amino acids and the HCL helps improve digestion, nutrient absorption, and helps prevent bacterial overgrowth in the gut.
Low Stomach Acid Can be a Cause for Vitiligo
Low stomach acid is a common problem that affects people as they age.
It has also been linked to leaky gut, which has been identified as a major factor in the development of autoimmunity.
How to address low stomach acid next ..
@Xtine000@AutoimmuneChat Daily full body sun exposure for 6 months was one of the biggest variables in my skin pigment recovery - I attribute this to the main reason on how I was able to recover around 80% of my pigment back from vitiligo.
How Much Vitamin D3 Can You Get From the Sun?
It depends on your skin tone and how long you're out in the Sun.
How much of your total skin is exposed to ultraviolet - a full body exposure can produce a max of 25,000 units of D before age 30, 15,000 units from age 30 to 60, and 8,000 beyond 60 years of age.
Skin Tone: with full body exposure to ultraviolet light, some with the fairest skin tone only needs about 10 minutes to produce max D for the day, light skin takes 20 minutes, olive skin about 30 minutes, light brown skin about 45 minutes, dark brown skin about 60 minutes, and black skin about 90 minutes.
Once the max amount of vitamin D is produced it takes 24 hours to replace the precursor chemical in the skin.
So once the max of D is produced, more sunlight will not produce anymore D until the next day.
@Xtine000 Thanks for sharing - I believe you mentioned you can find out if you have VDR-TAQ by getting a 23 and Me done then uploading it to Genetic Genie for free.
I'll be ordering my test soon after this recommendation - thanks again Christine.
@Xtine000 Yes this is true! Thanks for bringing this up.
The general rule is that with full body exposure to UV, the amount of D produced is:
25,000 units until age 30
15,000 from age 30 to 60
8,000 after age 60
@Xtine000@AutoimmuneChat Very convenient to have a light device like this, especially if you live in regions of the world where sun is scarce.
Winter time is also a good time to have something like this to keep up with light therapy to keep progressing with stimulating pigment growth.
@Xtine000 Here is a good article on seed cycling for hormone optimization (this is specifically for females, I will try to find more info on this for male hormone optimization).

The Best Activity to Regain Pigment & Slow The Spread of Vitiligo
I sun bathed each day for 6 months when I was fully depigmented.
Just 10-15 minutes a day of full body sun exposure (front & back) will do wonders in recovering from vitiligo.
@kdesign022 Thank you Khairul, I appreciate your kind words.
My goal is to show others with vitiligo that it's still possible to recover from it to some degree using natural, holistic health principles.
