Our conservators have been testing adhesives on a range of materials to devise a plan for treating loose fragments of ribbon on the #rylandsmegillah. Individual threads cast in adhesive will hold pieces in place to prevent loss in the future. @SeeTheTreasures #TextileConservation

Thanks to the generous support of the @TheNMCT grant, the Collection Care team has successfully treated Demotic Papyrus 9, the Petition of Peteêsi (c.513BCE), bringing it closer to being accessible to both the public and researchers.@TheJohnRylands
Soon we'll unveil the results.
