We lost fewer seats in the House of Representatives than any Democratic president’s first midterm election in at least 40 years.
And we had the best midterms for Governors since 1986.
The American people spoke.
- Fetterman flipped Pennsylvania with a pro-worker platform
- Nebraska raised the minimum wage
- 4 states banned forced prison labor
- D.C. abolished the sub-minimum tipped wage
- Illinois guaranteed the right to collective bargaining
The midterms were HUGE for worker power.
Elated to join Education Minister @NatHutchins to announce that a re-elected Andrews Labor Government will deliver a $9m state of the art gymnasium and multi-purpose facility to Caulfield South Primary School!
A few research informed thoughts on @Tony_Burke’s Fair Work Act changes in the parliament today. First - our research shows that the IR system is currently challenging for Australian working women and not working for gender equality 1/
Today's IR changes finally address the problem of repeat fixed-term contracts! For too long temporary contracts have have been used to prioritise flexibility for organisations over basic security that people and families need to plan their lives. @CntrFutureWork
Was a great privilege to join my friend @Steve_Dimo on Saturday to open the Helen Tiernan Exhibition at Lauraine Diggins Fine Art. Our Government has a vision for Victoria to be a state where creative people, ideas and enterprises thrive!
A society where violence against women & children is not addressed is a society where we are all degraded.
I’m proud to stand alongside @AmandaRishworth & my colleagues from the states & territories to support the National Plan to End Violence Against Women & Children.

Excited to have the opportunity to contribute as a member of Minister Gallagher’s Taskforce. Will bring our @Sydney_Uni @USyd_GEWLRI research expertise on women’s working lives (aspirations and barriers) to the work.
Fantastic to give evidence to the Senate Committee on Work and Care about creating well paid & secure jobs in disability, community and aged care - with powerhouse @ASUnion delegate and aged care worker Wendy. Thanks @BarbaraPocock@LindaWhiteAUS & Sen Deb O’Neil #auspol
