Spent the last two days at one of my favorite cousins’ houses watching Workin’ Moms eating barbecue, tacos, and Vietnamese. Ultimate party weekend, fortysomething style
The radiation team loved me so much that they gave me a certificate of completion with gold star stickers on it. Because you are never EVER too old for stickers.
Don't forget Mother's Day is coming up soon! Shop at @Etsy instead of the grocery store and support independent artists. Their cards are funnier anyway.
My oncologist pointed out that now is the time when many patients turn to hospice because their body can’t keep up with treatment anymore. Great positive attitude, #debbiedownertothemax
I can walk!! I’m not fully mobile but I can get my ass to the shower and back. The nurses high fived and hugged me 💕 Cheers for radiation, voodoo, meds, who the fuck knows.
The people at the radiation clinic let me pick the music and they all cheered when I said “early 2000s R&B.” There may have been singing along and dancing involved.
Today was day two of radiation to try to reverse paralysis in my legs. Currently I can stand but not walk, which means I’m using a catheter and bedside commode. Things are getting serious, my lovelies.
They had to take out my clitoral hood piercing for an MRI. My nurse and I were giggling as she played with the fancy pliers to take out my 20 year old favorite piercing. Sigh, #goodtimes
It’s nice to know that in the span of ten minutes I can still go from hunky dory to bitchy, a la 1985. I even stomped off to my room in a huff. —eyeroll—
