More than a little remiss that #Budget2021 didn't at all reflect the most rudimentary of facts:
We all rely on healthy forests, waterways & clean air to survive.
Especially true for the animal, plant & insect life nearing extinct due to lack of investment in nature protection.
The federal budget continues to pay big emitters, spur on gas development and leaves very little for the energy transition or electric vehicles 😡 https://t.co/oDvKG5Bmky via @renew_economy
@ALDIAustralia Thank you for this. As a large player in the business community it's good to see you're cognisant of your important role and responsibility to reduce and eliminate plastic and packaging waste and move towards a circular economy. Well done for our planet. 🐬🌲
@VKaritinos Thanks for your refill station suggestion, we'll share this with the team. We are actively reducing the amount of plastic packaging in our fresh produce range and transition to more sustainable alternatives where possible, provided there is no increase in food waste. 1/2
@woolworths@ALDIAustralia
Please don't be complicit in rubbishing our planet. Ban single use plastics asap, most fruit and veg don't need packaging. Refuse, Refill, Reuse are much kinder to the planet than recycling. Zero waste now.
Looking forward to seeing refill stations rolled out throughout the country at @woolworths too...and please stop wrapping fruit and vegetables in plastic. Ban single use plastic asap !
This was a huge local community effort with support from groups like @vnpatweets@SeaShepherd_Aus @SaveWesternport @surfrideraus@MornPenShire
Not to mention the thousands of Victorians across the state who joined rallies, sent emails, made phone calls, & donated.
THANK YOU
TFW when you've been fighting Australia's biggest corporate polluter for 3 years ... and then YOU WIN

The Climate Guardians are pleased for our precious environment and the Westernport Bay community that @rwynnemp has rejected @aglenergy’s singularly inappropriate proposed floating #gas hub. There is no place for new #fossilfuel projects in 2021 #auspol#springst#ecocide#COP26
