Today wasn’t just a candidate launch.
It was a statement of intent. There are no more ANC strongholds, and no more excuses. The DA is ready to fight for every ward, every community, and every resident of Tshwane.

As Youth Day approaches, I reflect on one of the biggest challenges facing Tshwane: youth unemployment.
My plan is simple: fire corrupt officials, restore law and order, and create a city where businesses can grow and young people can find work.

This is where all corrupt city officials belong. 🚔
My first pledge is to restore law and order so we can protect our infrastructure, support law enforcement, and create a city where residents feel safe again.

How much longer must residents wait?
The Lynnwood Road project has dragged on for months, with little sign of progress and growing frustration from motorists.
We’ll keep holding the City accountable and applying pressure.

⚡ Three weeks. No power. No answers.
DA Ward 66 Councillor Carlos da Rocha is standing with the residents of Bez Valley outside City Power, demanding action after an unacceptable three-week outage.
Instead of fixing the problem, officials threatened to arrest him.
Carlos isn't backing down. Residents deserve electricity, accountability, and a government that works.

The reality is that Tshwane will be governed by either a DA-led government or an ANC-led government.
If you want change, vote for the only party big enough to take on the ANC. Help us take back our city and let’s get Tshwane working again🗳️

I spent most of my day in Mamelodi today, listening to residents and helping where we can with issues like sewage leaks, roads, and electricity.

I thought the sign was under attack 😭
Turns out this gentleman was just helping motorists by clearing the tree blocking it.
Municipal workers should be doing this so that residents don’t have to take matters into their own hands.

Many of those living on our streets are battling mental illness, addiction, or both. Solving this crisis requires law and order, but also compassion, support, and community partnerships.
I was in Sunnyside recently and saw a man doing everything he could to earn enough money for his next meal.
Tshwane has one of the highest rates of homelessness in the country. We must restore law and order, but we must also work with well organised communities to create opportunities and help those in need rebuild their lives.
Before and after.
When the DA governed Tshwane, this space was cleaned and restored. Today, it has been left to deteriorate once again.
Good government makes a difference. Poor government makes excuses.

I spent the better part of my day in Capital Park, a community that has experienced significant deterioration over the years.
Today’s tree planting was a small step towards building a greener and stronger community 🌳
In Winterveldt, families still have no water coming from their taps 🚰
Instead, they rely on water tankers while water losses under the ANC-led coalition have climbed to 41%. Not metsi di tankeng. Metsi di pompom.
My 3rd mayoral pledge focuses on upgrading water infrastructure through private partnerships to reduce losses and restore reliable water supply.
