Did this landfill appear overnight? No.
Did people watch it grow and do nothing? Apparently, yes.
Imagine the smell. The mosquitoes. The fear of snakes and other reptiles finding a home here. No one can live healthily around this.

This isn't a failure we can blame entirely on the authorities. This pile exists because we people kept adding to it. Basic civic sense should not be this rare.

The newly built flyyover at Lalganesh is being inaugurated today. Congratulations.

But what about the roads beneath it? A shiny flyover above, broken and miserable roads below. Completion, just for the sake of calling it “complete.” The contrast itself says everything.

Maybe the assumption is simple. The public is already used to bad roads, waterlogging and inconvenience. They’ll adjust. Because they always do.
