@DwB_Africa We have partnered with @DwB_Africa for close to 5 years to create new Vertical Farm designs. We are happy to work with this great team of designers.

The resulting prototype was piloted within Kyaka and Rhino II camps which currently have a total of 20 gardens serving about 400 people. The gardens have been in use for 4 months now, and feedback from the current users will be used to refine and scale the gardens.

Together with Vertical Micro Gardening Uganda, Response Innovation Lab and Save the Children, we set out to design a new vertical garden model to provide food security and improve nutritional outcomes for refugee communities in Uganda.

Microgreens are young seedlings of edible vegetables and herbs - here we show radish as an example. They are harvested early in their life cycle, so can grow and be eaten in as little as 7 days! They're packed full of nutrients and are a flavoursome addition to many dishes.
