Congratulations to Tae McGregor for winning the 100m with a time of 10.81, placing 2nd in the triple jump with a jump of 42’7” and placing 3rd in the 400m with a time of 51.87 at the Lincoln Invitational Meet yesterday. His other event the 200m was not run.

The Jackets down Winterboro 16-4. Maddy Walker gets the win striking out 7. Jaci Wallace gets the save. Molly Reynolds and Kayla Maxwell both went 3-3 with 3 RBIs. Brantlee Chapman picked up 3 RBIs with a bases clearing triple. The Jackets are on the road Thursday at BB Comer.

Vincent was heartbroken after tonight's loss, but the Yellow Jackets still accomplished a goal they set out to at the beginning of the season despite falling in the Elite Eight for the 2nd year in a row.

Now that the Sweet 16 is over, Shelby County has seen seven total teams advance to the Elite Eight in their respective class: Spain Park's boys and girls, Oak Mountain's boys, Vincent's boys, Montevallo's boys, Shelby County's girls and Westminster's girls. Pretty remarkable.
