Back in 2024, I became friends with a Pakistani girl through social media. She called herself an atheist, watched Ex-Muslim videos and openly criticised Islam.🇵🇰

She came from a poor family. Her father wanted her to marry her cousin, who was a Maulvi, but she didn't want to marry him.

She would often tell me:

Aaruhi, I don't want to live in Pakistan. I don't want to marry a Muslim man. Find me a non-Muslim guy. I'm even willing to move to India for him.

I told her that if I found a good guy, I would talk to him about her.

Gradually, we started discussing Indian and Pakistani politics almost every day. But whenever I brought up terrorist attacks linked to Pakistan, she would immediately start defending Pakistan.

She even claimed that Kulbhushan Jadhav was an Indian agent sent to Pakistan to carry out terrorist activities. She would make all kinds of baseless claims against India just to defend her own country.

Over time, I realised that no matter how much she criticised Islam, she had also been brainwashed like many other Pakistanis. She had an extremist mindset and didn't hesitate to defend even her country's terrorist activities. Eventually, I blocked her.

The reason I'm sharing this is simple: even a Pakistani girl who called herself an atheist and openly criticised Islam was deeply loyal to her country. Her personal and political beliefs and her love for her country were two completely different things.

On the other hand, some people in our own country start speaking badly about India simply because they disagree with Modi or have different political ideologies.
