I am the mother of Sean Bell, I am his voice for justice. GOD WILL GET THE GLORY WHILE SEAN ELIJAH BELL GETS HIS RIGHTFUL STORY. RT's are not endoresments
Not only are these fireworks keeping New Yorkers up at night, they are extremely dangerous, even for those not handling them.
Great job by Neighborhood Coordination Officers & Field Intelligence Officers in the @NYPD44Pct for making an arrest & confiscating these fireworks.

"If he is willing to betray, sell out & lie abt us family members of NYers killed by police, what do you think he is willing to do to u?"
#Repeal50a -"now stands as the 1st demonstration of the PBA’s dissolving influence in Albany"
NY: You/we/movement did this!
Next up: #DefundNYPD by AT LEAST $1B to reinvest in communities for #NYCBudgetJustice.
End outsized power of racist police unions

Please read/RT: Families who've lost loved ones to police are setting the record straight re last week's #SaferNYAct victories in an open letter @NYGovCuomo - who was a consistent obstacle to passing these bills. #BlackLivesMatter#StandWithTheFamilies https://t.co/GBkbHpdX4a
CRL Section #50a prohibited public access to officers’ disciplinary records, making it nearly impossible for New Yorkers to find out about police misconduct in their communities. CCRB Chair Fred Davie’s statement on the repeal of 50-a is available here: https://t.co/iodVkYKVxR
With the Governor’s signature, #Repeal50a#SpecialProsecutor & #PoliceSTATAct become law in New York State. This step forward for transparency & accountability are the fruit of the persistence & strength of families of those killed by police & CPR/#SaferNYAct coalition partners.
NYC movement on fire. We collectively won #Repeal50a & now @NYCCouncil pledged to try to #DefundNYPD by at least $1B
We need deets & we need to keep pressure on. It's an advance, not a victory yet. @changethenypd statement: https://t.co/ZfYcnbfqzd

I was extremely honored to be part of this movement towards change this week in Albany. Thank you to Senate Sponsors @jamaaltbailey (A.10608 & A.1601C) and @SenatorParker (A.1360A) the protestors, advocates, colleagues, and especially the families of the victims.
#PoliceSTATAct just passed out of both NYS Assembly & Senate. 5th year Assembly passes it. Now that Senate did, NY will be required for 1st time in history to report on #/demographics/location of people killed by cops in NYS
Wild we need to pass legislation for this. #SaferNYAct
Tonight, officers from the @NYPD10Pct arrested a demonstrator whose sign “axed” for justice. He was charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
We respect the right to peacefully protest, but remain vigilant for these type of threats.
