EV drivers do pay for road maintenance, through the exact same general taxes everyone else does. VED hasn’t funded roads since 1937. Stop pretending otherwise just to justify a new tax.

@VoiceforNewark @RailDriverSteve Absolutely. My previous golf had a tax of £35 per year. I swapped to EV with no tax and I saved money cos less was needed for parts and charging was cheaper. Now with this new charge and tax it'll likely cost me more. Makes me wish I hadn't changed, which is incredibly wrong!
