i don’t blame garfield and maguire’s fans for acting insane at all because that’s how i’m going to be moving in 20 years time preaching how no one can beat tom holland’s spiderman
When I’m drowning but instead of saving me the lifeguard throws a swim ring directly at my head with his super soldier arm thing in full force and aurafarms so I genuinely just die
“Can I just come with you? I like soaking in the warm bath.”
*He had set her down and smiled hearing that she would tell Spider-Man about him. He was a pretty big fan because it was Spider-Man for crying out loud.*

Iman Vellani on ‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY’
“People showed up, on the first week. [That means] nobody really believed in the superhero fatigue, nobody really believed that this movie was gonna fail... They want it to succeed. I think we’re so used to being cynical and assuming that everything new coming out is gonna suck and, you know, ‘It’s all propaganda’ or ‘People’s attention spans are low.’ No, like, we can appreciate a good thing when we see it.”

the more you dig into stuff like this, the more you respect how deliberate this movie actually is. The black eyes aren’t some separate early warning sign before the real changes kick in, they’re literally the visual marker of the exact moment his control slips and instinct takes over.
I think that’s such a smart way to show it instead of just telling us, every time his eyes go black, that’s basically the movie showing you the second he stops being fully himself. Little details like this make me think people are sleeping on how tightly written this film’s mutation arc actually is.
@THEVDOVABELOVA “You know this surprisingly isn’t the first time I’ve heard this description. Compliment? I think it’s supposed to be a compliment.”
*He decided to be a little more bold and kiss her cheek before going back to lying his head on her shoulder.*
“Yeah I don’t know how to explain it but you’re bright.. he’s well dark obviously but you really are a beam of light.”
(He finished putting the dishes away and shuffled back to the corner he always sat down in to read. She was always welcome to join him)
she lets the bubbles lands on her nose doing the same to him before she picked up a plate and helped him put their things away.
" o-kay that makes sense . . it is very different "
