both came through the first round in straight sets, but I slightly prefer Brooksby’s unusual style here

< Brooksby beat Baez 7-5, 7-5
< didn’t drop serve once
< won 81% of points on his first serve
< Sonego also started well, beating Duckworth 6-4, 6-4
< they’ve never played each other before

there isn’t a huge difference between them on hard courts this season, so I’m not expecting an easy match

but after the first round, Brooksby looked a bit more convincing, and his style could be a problem for Sonego in their first meeting
